Within Origin, Pennsylvania is a narrow geographic niche that points almost entirely to one place: Lancaster County, the centre of gravity for American watchmaking. Hamilton Watch Company was founded here in 1892, produced its first 18-size, 17-jewel pocket watch in 1893, and marketed its Broadway Limited series as the "Watch of Railroad Accuracy."
