Editor's take
The Orient Kamasu RA-AA0810N19B stands out as a highly capable and aesthetically pleasing automatic dive watch, cementing its place within Orient's popular Kamasu collection. It caters to a broad audience, from seasoned divers to casual wearers who appreciate robust construction and classic dive watch aesthetics.
This model is powered by Orient's in-house automatic movement, known for its reliability and consistent performance, eliminating the need for battery changes. The substantial 42mm stainless steel case is paired with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a premium feature often found in higher-priced dive watches. With a 200m water resistance, it is genuinely equipped for serious underwater exploration.
While the Kamasu offers exceptional value, some might find the bracelet's clasp, a fold-over with double push-button release, to be functional rather than luxurious. It performs its duty admirably, yet it doesn't possess the micro-adjustment capabilities or the solid feel of some higher-end dive watch clasps. This is a minor trade-off for its accessible price point.
For those seeking a dependable and stylish dive watch with a true mechanical heart and excellent water resistance, the Orient Kamasu RA-AA0810N19B is an outstanding choice. It offers a compelling alternative to entry-level Swiss divers, providing a robust package for both daily wear and aquatic adventures.
