Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Bertucci DX3 Canvas 11088 suitable for daily wear and sports activities?
Yes, the Bertucci DX3 Canvas 11088 is designed for daily wear and light sports. Its fibre-reinforced polycarbonate case offers excellent durability and shock resistance, making it a reliable companion for an active lifestyle. The canvas strap is also comfortable for extended use.
Can I swim or shower with the Bertucci DX3 Canvas watch?
The Bertucci DX3 Canvas 11088 has a water resistance rating of 50 metres. This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion. However, it is not recommended for swimming, showering, or diving, as prolonged water exposure or pressure changes can compromise its seals.
How does the Bertucci DX3 Canvas compare to other field watches in its price range?
The Bertucci DX3 Canvas 11088 stands out with its robust fibre-reinforced polycarbonate case and comfortable canvas strap, offering a lightweight yet durable option. While many competitors might use stainless steel, this model focuses on a utilitarian, impact-resistant design, making it a strong alternative for those prioritising ruggedness and affordability in a field watch.
What type of battery does the Bertucci DX3 Canvas 11088 use and how often should it be replaced?
The Bertucci DX3 Canvas 11088 operates on a standard watch battery, powering its Japanese quartz movement. Battery life typically ranges from 2 to 3 years, depending on usage. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional to ensure the water resistance is maintained.
Who is the Bertucci DX3 Canvas watch most suitable for?

Editor's take
The Bertucci DX3 Canvas 11088 positions itself as an accessible and highly durable field watch, catering to individuals who prioritise ruggedness and reliability over intricate complications. This model, with its straightforward design and military heritage, is an excellent choice for daily wear and outdoor activities where a robust timepiece is essential.
Central to its resilience is the fibre-reinforced polycarbonate case, which provides impressive shock resistance and keeps the watch remarkably lightweight on the wrist. The inclusion of a hardened mineral crystal offers a practical balance between scratch resistance and cost-effectiveness, suitable for a tool watch. Powering the DX3 Canvas is a dependable Japanese quartz movement, ensuring consistent accuracy with minimal maintenance.
While the 50-metre water resistance is adequate for splashes and light rain, it falls short of what might be expected for more serious aquatic adventures, such as swimming or diving. Users seeking a watch for prolonged water exposure should consider models with higher water resistance ratings, ideally 100m or more, and a screw-down crown for added security.
Ultimately, the Bertucci DX3 Canvas 11088 is recommended for those who need a no-nonsense, tough, and legible watch for everyday use or light outdoor pursuits. Its combination of a durable case, clear dial, and comfortable canvas strap makes it a compelling option in the affordable field watch segment, offering great value for its utilitarian design.
