What is the expected battery life of this Casio sport watch?
The Casio AEQ120W is designed with an impressive 10-year battery life, which means you can enjoy its full functionality for a very long period before needing a replacement. This significantly reduces maintenance frequency.
How does the Casio AEQ120W compare to other analogue-digital watches in its price range?
The Casio AEQ120W stands out with its exceptional 10-year battery life and 100m water resistance at an accessible price point. While other watches might offer similar features, this model provides a strong balance of durability, functionality, and long-term value, especially for active users.

With its 42.5mm resin case, the Casio AEQ120W is generally suitable for a wide range of men's wrist sizes, typically fitting wrists from about 6.5 to 8.5 inches comfortably. The resin strap offers good adjustability.

Editor's take
The Casio AEQ120W Series positions itself as an accessible and highly functional timepiece for the active man who values durability and practicality over luxury. This model, with its distinctive analogue-digital display, caters to a broad audience seeking a reliable companion for daily wear and light sporting activities.
At its core, the AEQ120W features a dependable quartz movement known for its accuracy and minimal maintenance. A standout technical highlight is its impressive 10-year battery life, significantly reducing the hassle of frequent battery changes. Furthermore, the 100-metre water resistance ensures it can withstand swimming and snorkelling, making it a versatile choice for various environments.
While the resin case and strap contribute to its lightweight and robust nature, they might not appeal to those seeking a more premium feel or traditional watch materials like stainless steel. The mineral glass, though durable for everyday knocks, is more susceptible to scratches compared to sapphire crystal, which is often found in higher-end sport watches.
This Casio AEQ120W is an excellent recommendation for individuals who need a no-nonsense, highly functional watch for an active lifestyle or as a dependable daily beater. For those desiring a more rugged aesthetic or extreme shock resistance, exploring other Casio G-Shock models might be a suitable alternative, while entry-level automatic watches could offer a different horological experience.
