Description
The Nine West Women's Strap Watch is a simple, understated everyday piece for anyone who prefers a soft neutral palette. A natural beige dial sits against a matching beige strap, with gold-tone hands and markers adding a light accent.
The watch is powered by a Japanese quartz movement and uses a 36mm metal case. A domed mineral crystal covers the dial, and the black printed inner minute track keeps time reading clear. The strap is faux leather and closes with a buckle.
The 36mm case sits comfortably on smaller and medium wrists, and the 16mm lug width suits the slim strap. It is not water resistant, so it is best kept away from showers and swimming, and suits office, casual and dry daily wear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wear this Nine West watch in the shower or pool?
No, this Nine West watch is not water resistant, so it should stay away from showers, pools and heavy rain. Even steam and splashes can affect the movement over time. It is best kept for dry daily wear, such as the office or casual outings.
Will a 36mm case fit my small wrist?
A 36mm case generally suits small to medium wrists well, and this Nine West model has a modest height too, so it should not sit bulky. The faux leather strap with buckle is adjustable, which helps get a snug fit on slimmer wrists.
What movement does it use and does it need winding?
It uses a Japanese quartz movement, so there is no winding or setting beyond the time. A battery powers it, and a service centre or watchmaker can change it when it stops. Quartz keeps good time with very little maintenance.
Can I swap the strap for another one?
Yes, the lug width is 16mm, so most 16mm straps in leather, fabric or similar materials should fit. Check that the replacement is the same width and that the spring bars suit your case. A watchmaker can fit it quickly if you are unsure.
How does it compare with a sport watch for daily use?
This model is a dressier, lighter alternative to a sport watch. It has a mineral crystal and no water rating, so it suits office and casual use rather than workouts. For sport, choose a watch with a stated water resistance and a tougher strap.
Is it suitable as a gift for someone who likes neutral colours?
It works well for a gift, since the beige dial and strap with gold-tone hands suit most outfits and a soft neutral style. Who it suits best is someone wanting a simple, everyday watch, not a sports or waterproof model.
Editor's take
Nine West's beige strap model is a quiet, low-key option for wearers who want a soft neutral look rather than a statement piece. The Japanese quartz movement keeps it simple and low-maintenance, and the 36mm case is a sensible size for smaller and medium wrists.
The dial carries the character here. A natural beige face with gold-tone hands and markers, plus a black printed minute track, gives a clean, legible layout. A domed mineral crystal covers it, which is standard at this level and adds a gentle curve in the light.
The main limitation is that it is not water resistant. Mineral glass is also easier to scratch than sapphire, and the faux leather strap will not age like genuine leather. Anyone who wants to wear a watch in the shower, at the pool or in heavy rain should look elsewhere.
It suits someone after an inexpensive, neutral watch for the office or casual dry days. For a similar budget with more robustness, consider a quartz model with a rated water resistance and a 16mm lug strap that is easy to swap.

From the manufacturer
A Compact 36mm Case
The 36.0mm metal case sits in the proportions many collectors favour for daily wear, neither oversized nor dainty. Its slim profile slides easily under a cuff, and the mineral crystal gives a clear, scratch-tolerant window over the dial.
Japanese Quartz Movement
A Japanese quartz movement drives the hands, which means steady timekeeping and no winding or regular adjustment. It is a sensible choice for a watch meant to be picked up and worn without ceremony, and it keeps the case thin.
Faux Leather Strap
The faux leather strap gives the watch a soft, supple feel against the wrist and pairs with the metal case for a restrained look. It suits office wear and casual dress alike, and it can be swapped later if you want a different tone.
