Its heart beats with a reliable automatic movement, providing the convenience of self-winding without the need for a battery. The watch showcases a charming beige dial, adorned with classic Roman numerals and complemented by a detailed chapter ring, enhancing its traditional aesthetic.

A durable mineral crystal protects the dial, ensuring clarity and resistance against everyday wear. The watch is completed with a comfortable leather strap, secured by a buckle clasp, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate timeless style and mechanical craftsmanship.

The Orient Bambino Version 2, specifically the TAC00009N0 reference, stands as a quintessential dress watch that has garnered significant acclaim for its blend of vintage aesthetics and accessible mechanical watchmaking. This model, part of Orient's highly popular Bambino collection, is designed for the discerning gentleman seeking a sophisticated timepiece for formal or business casual settings. Its elegant proportions and classic design cues make it a versatile choice for those looking to start or expand their mechanical watch collection.

At its core, the Bambino TAC00009N0 is powered by Orient's in-house automatic movement, which offers reliable timekeeping and the romantic appeal of a self-winding mechanism. While the specific calibre number isn't provided, Orient's movements are known for their robustness and durability, often featuring both hand-winding and hacking capabilities. The watch's 40.5mm stainless steel case provides a comfortable fit on most wrists, complemented by a domed mineral crystal that enhances its retro charm and offers adequate protection against everyday bumps.

One aspect to consider is the mineral crystal, which, while contributing to the vintage aesthetic, is more prone to scratches than sapphire. For those who prioritise scratch resistance above all else, this might be a minor drawback, especially if the watch is intended for very active daily wear. Additionally, the water resistance is basic, making it suitable only for splashes and light rain, not for swimming or showering.

Ultimately, the Orient Bambino TAC00009N0 is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a stylish and reliable automatic dress watch without a prohibitive price tag. It excels as a daily wear piece for office environments or special occasions. For those requiring higher durability or water resistance, alternatives like a robust field watch or a dedicated dive watch might be more appropriate, though they would likely sacrifice some of the Bambino's inherent elegance.
