Description
This OUPINKE is an automatic skeleton watch for men who like to see the mechanism at work. The black round dial sits in a 41mm case with an open, hollowed-out look, and a small royal blue sub-panel at seven o'clock adds a touch of colour contrast.
The case is stainless steel and the crystal is synthetic sapphire. Inside, an automatic mechanical movement runs on 21 ruby bearings to reduce friction. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres, which covers daily wear but not diving or hot water.
The soft black leather strap closes with a double locking foldover clasp, and the hands carry a luminous coating for reading the time in low light. The case is 11mm thick with a 20mm lug width, so it works for business meetings and casual outings alike.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wear this OUPINKE skeleton watch for swimming?
No, it is not suited to swimming. The 50 metre water resistance covers rain, hand washing and splashes during daily wear. The maker also states the watch is not for diving or hot water, so showers and saunas should be avoided to protect the gaskets.
Is it sturdy enough for daily sport like running?
The listing tags it for running and the stainless steel case with synthetic sapphire crystal handles everyday knocks well. Still, a skeleton automatic with a leather strap is better for light activity than hard training, and sweat can wear leather over time.
Will a 41mm case suit my wrist?
A 41mm round case with a 20mm lug width generally suits wrists from about 6.5 to 8 inches. At 11mm thick it sits fairly tall, so smaller wrists may find it more noticeable, while average and larger wrists should be comfortable.
How does this differ from a quartz watch?
This OUPINKE uses an automatic mechanical movement with 21 ruby bearings, so it is powered by wrist motion rather than a battery. Compared with quartz it is less precise and needs occasional servicing, but you get the visible mechanism through the skeleton dial.
Do I need to change a battery or wind it?
There is no battery to change. The automatic movement winds as you wear it, so wearing it daily keeps it running. If it stops after sitting for a few days, a few gentle shakes or a short wear will usually restart it.
Who is this watch suitable for as a gift?
It suits men who like a showy, mechanical look without a heritage price, such as a husband, father or friend. It ships with a gift box and a cleaning cloth, and the black dial and leather strap pair with both suits and casual clothes.
Editor's take
Skeleton automatics are usually priced well above what this OUPINKE asks, and that is the audience here: someone who wants to see a mechanism working through the dial without paying for a heritage name. The black round dial and 41mm case keep it wearable, and the skeleton dial is the main draw.
The maker lists an automatic mechanical movement with 21 ruby bearings, which are meant to reduce friction at the pivots. The case is stainless steel and the crystal is synthetic sapphire, a sensible pairing for a watch that will see daily knocks. No calibre name is given, so serious collectors cannot compare it with a known movement.
Water resistance is 50 metres, which means splashes and rain are fine but swimming and hot showers are not. At 11mm thick and 400g listed weight, it will feel substantial on the wrist, and the double locking foldover clasp on the leather strap helps keep it secure. Skeleton dials also trade some legibility for looks.
It suits men who want a showy automatic for office wear or dinners and do not need diver-grade specs. If you want a documented movement and service support, look at entry-level Japanese or Swiss automatics in a higher price tier.

Open Skeleton Dial Architecture
The dial is cut away to expose the automatic movement, so the gear train, mainspring barrel and balance remain in view. Skeletonising a dial is a decision about legibility as much as display, and the open layout here lets you follow the mechanism while still reading the time.
Self-Winding Automatic Movement
An automatic movement winds itself through the motion of your wrist, driven by an oscillating rotor. There is no battery to replace. Wearing the watch daily keeps the mainspring charged, and the visible rotation of parts shows the mechanism at work.
41mm Stainless Steel Case
The 41.0mm stainless steel case sits in the middle of the modern range for men's dress and sport watches. It suits most wrists without overpowering a shirt cuff. Steel resists everyday wear and takes a brushed or polished finish well over years of use.
Sapphire Crystal Protection
The crystal is synthetic sapphire, which ranks 9 on the Mohs scale and resists scratching far better than mineral glass. With a skeleton dial, clarity matters because the movement is the main feature. A scratch-resistant surface keeps that view clean over time.
Leather Strap Comfort
The leather strap gives the steel case a softer, more traditional look and conforms to the wrist as it breaks in. It pairs equally well with business attire and casual clothing. Leather benefits from occasional rotation and should be kept away from prolonged moisture.
50 Metre Water Resistance
Rated to 50 metres, the case handles splashes, hand washing and light rain without concern. It is not intended for swimming or diving. Keep the crown fully pushed in, and avoid hot water and steam, which can compromise the gaskets over time.
