Timex Snoopy Football TW2W48500VQ, 40mm, Blue Dial, Blue Nylon Strap

This Timex and Peanuts collaboration brings a welcome dose of character to a functional design. The watch centres on a deep blue dial, where Snoopy's familiar silhouette takes the place of traditional hour markers, using his arms as the hour and minute hands. This whimsical display is paired with a simple, legible outer track for the minutes, maintaining the core utility of a field watch.

The 40mm case is constructed from a lightweight blue resin, offering a comfortable and casual presence on the wrist. This material choice makes the watch durable enough for daily wear without adding unnecessary weight. It is topped with a flat mineral crystal, providing adequate scratch resistance for everyday situations and clear visibility of the dial's charming details.

A dependable quartz movement powers the watch, ensuring accurate timekeeping with minimal maintenance. The design is completed by a colour-matched blue nylon strap with a 20mm lug width, which is both comfortable and easily interchangeable. With a water resistance rating across 50 metres, it can handle splashes and brief immersion, though it is not intended for swimming.

This collaboration piece, reference TW2W48500VQ, is aimed squarely at the enthusiast who appreciates a bit of levity in their collection. It's not a tool watch in the strictest sense, but rather a conversation starter that leverages the universal appeal of Charles Schulz's creation. The core of its function is a simple and reliable quartz movement, which is the correct and logical choice for a watch in this accessible category. It's a watch for casual Fridays, weekend errands, or for the collector who simply wants to smile when they check the time.

The standout feature is, of course, the Snoopy dial animation. Using the character's arms as hands is a classic motif, executed here with clean printing against a vibrant blue background. The case construction from Resin is a practical decision, keeping the watch light, affordable, and resistant to the bumps of daily life. This material choice also allows for the saturated blue colour to extend from the case to the strap, creating a cohesive and striking visual statement.

A key consideration for any potential owner is the watch's material limits. The lens is a Mineral Crystal, which offers decent protection from scuffs but does not have the hardness of sapphire. Likewise, the 50-metre water resistance rating is sufficient for rain or washing hands, but it is not built for swimming or diving. These are not flaws but rather deliberate design choices to keep the watch approachable and focused on its primary mission of fun, casual timekeeping.

For the price, this watch delivers a significant amount of charm and represents a great entry point into collecting character watches. The Nylon strap is comfortable out of the box and the 20.0mm lug width means finding alternative straps will be exceptionally easy. If you understand that you are acquiring a playful, light-duty timepiece and not a professional instrument, the Timex x Peanuts Snoopy watch is an excellent and joyful addition to any rotation.
