Frequently Asked Questions
Is the GOLDEN HOUR GH-124 suitable for swimming or showering?
No, the GOLDEN HOUR GH-124 has a water resistance of 3 meters (3ATM), which means it is designed to withstand daily splashes and brief contact with water. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, or diving, as excessive water contact can shorten its lifespan.
What kind of movement powers this watch?
The GOLDEN HOUR GH-124 is powered by a reliable Japanese quartz movement. This ensures accurate timekeeping and offers the convenience of low maintenance compared to mechanical movements, making it a practical choice for daily wear.
How does the GH-124 compare to other sport watches in its price range?
The GH-124 stands out with its large 50mm metal case and comprehensive analog-digital display, offering multiple complications like dual time, stopwatch, and alarm. While many sport watches focus on a single display type, this model provides versatility for users who appreciate both traditional and digital readouts.
Is the large 50mm case size suitable for all wrist sizes?
The GOLDEN HOUR GH-124 features a substantial 50mm case, which is designed for individuals with larger or thicker wrists. While personal preference varies, those with smaller wrists might find the watch to be quite prominent or oversized.
What maintenance is required for the GOLDEN HOUR GH-124?
As a quartz watch, the GH-124 requires minimal maintenance, primarily battery replacement when needed. The hardlex crystal offers good durability, but it's advisable to clean the silicone strap regularly to maintain hygiene and prevent wear.

Editor's take
The GOLDEN HOUR GH-124 positions itself as an accessible, multi-functional timepiece for the active man seeking a bold statement on the wrist. With its substantial 50mm case and military-inspired design, this watch is clearly aimed at those who prefer a prominent and robust aesthetic. It blends traditional analog time-telling with practical digital features, making it suitable for a range of casual and outdoor activities.
Powering the GH-124 is a reliable Japanese quartz movement, known for its accuracy and low maintenance. The watch's large metal case is complemented by a hardlex crystal, offering a good balance of durability and scratch resistance for everyday knocks. While its 3-meter water resistance is sufficient for splashes, it underscores the watch's role as a daily wear item rather than a dedicated dive or swim companion.
One area where the GH-124 makes a clear trade-off is its water resistance; at 3 meters, it's strictly for surface contact and not for immersion, which might limit its appeal for serious water sports enthusiasts. Furthermore, the large 50mm case, while a design choice, may not suit all wrist sizes, potentially feeling oversized for slimmer individuals.
Ultimately, the GOLDEN HOUR GH-124 is best suited for individuals who prioritize a large, feature-rich, and visually striking sport watch without the need for high-level water performance. For those seeking a more robust water-resistant option, alternatives like dedicated dive watches with 100m+ ratings would be a more appropriate choice, albeit often at a higher price point.
