Description
Released in 2022, the Fitbit Inspire 3 reference 611597 is a slim fitness band rather than a traditional watch, and it dresses accordingly. The black resin case keeps weight low on the wrist, which matters for anyone who wears a tracker through the night for sleep data.
The black silicone band is the main contact surface, and its soft, flexible profile suits a narrow wrist as well as a larger one. It sheds sweat and rinses clean after a workout, so the strap rarely needs more than a quick wipe.
Water resistance is stated at 50 meters, which covers handwashing, rain, and swimming laps in a pool. That figure describes pressure tolerance in static testing, so it is sensible to treat it as a swim-capable rating rather than a dive spec.
The black dial treatment gives the display a clean, uniform look, with little visible bezel to break up the screen. For a first fitness tracker or a backup to a mechanical piece, it stays out of the way.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the battery last on the Fitbit Inspire 3?
Fitbit rates the Inspire 3 at up to 10 days of battery life under typical use. Features such as the always-on display and frequent screen wake-ups can shorten that figure. Charging uses a small proprietary clip charger and takes roughly a couple of hours.
Is the Inspire 3 compatible with both iPhone and Android?
Yes, the Inspire 3 pairs with iPhone and Android phones through the Fitbit app. You need a recent version of iOS or Android and Bluetooth enabled. Check the current requirements in the Fitbit app listing for your phone model.
How water resistant is the Inspire 3 with its 50 meter rating?
The 50 meter rating means it is suitable for showering, pool swimming and shallow water activity. It is not intended for diving, high-speed water sports or hot water exposure such as saunas. Rinse it with fresh water after salt water or chlorine use.
What sensors and health tracking features does it include?
It includes an optical heart rate sensor, an SpO2 sensor, a skin temperature sensor and an accelerometer. These support heart rate tracking, sleep stages, active zone minutes and stress-related features. Some insights and long-term analysis may require a Fitbit Premium subscription.
Will the black silicone band fit a small or large wrist?
The Inspire 3 is a slim tracker with a lightweight resin case, and it comes with a flexible silicone band. Fitbit offers small and large band sizes, so check the wrist range for the size included. The band is interchangeable, so you can swap it later for a different style.
How does the Inspire 3 compare with a traditional watch for daily wear?
The Inspire 3 is a fitness tracker rather than a full smartwatch, so it focuses on activity, sleep and health metrics with notifications. It is lighter and more focused than most smartwatches, and it does not have built-in GPS, so it uses your phone for connected GPS. It suits users who want long battery life and simple tracking over app-heavy features.
Editor's take
The Inspire 3 arrived in 2022 as the slimmest entry in the Fitbit line, and reference 611597 is the all-black version. It is a tracker first, so judge it by comfort and data rather than by movement finishing. Anyone who wants sleep and activity metrics without a bulky case will find it easy to forget on the wrist.
The case is molded resin, a light polymer that keeps the band thin and avoids the cold, heavy feel of metal during long wear. The trade is durability of finish: resin tolerates knocks well but does not take the fine brushing or polish that steel holds for years.
The silicone band is the contact point that matters most, and it suits sweaty workouts and sleep tracking because it rinses clean and dries quickly. It is a simple pin-and-keeper arrangement, so there is no clasp hardware to adjust, only a hole to choose that fits the wrist.
The one spec worth weighing is the 50 meter water resistance rating. It handles pool swimming and showers, but it is not an ISO 6425 dive rating, so keep it away from hot water, high-impact water sports, and anything deeper than a lap pool.

A Slim Tracker For Daily Wear
The Inspire 3 uses a lightweight resin case paired with a soft silicone strap, which keeps it comfortable through long days and overnight sleep tracking. Its small footprint sits low on the wrist and slides easily under a shirt cuff.
Rated To 50 Meters
Water resistance is rated to 50 meters, which covers handwashing, showers, and pool swimming without concern. Resin and silicone tolerate sweat and repeated rinsing well, so the tracker suits workouts as much as everyday use. Rinse and dry the strap now and then to keep the skin clean.
