While many chronographs offer similar timing functions, this model emphasizes a distinctive, robust aesthetic and a minimalist dial, making it a strong contender for those seeking a statement sport watch.
What type of battery does the quartz movement in this watch use?
The Invicta Sea Vulture 47823 is powered by an accurate quartz movement, which typically uses a standard watch battery. The specific battery type is not mentioned, but these are generally long-lasting and easily replaceable by a watchmaker when needed.

Editor's take
The Invicta Sea Vulture 47823 positions itself as an accessible and visually impactful sport watch for men. Part of the Sea Vulture collection, this timepiece embodies Invicta's characteristic bold design language, offering a substantial wrist presence. It caters to individuals seeking a functional yet stylish accessory for everyday adventures, blending a modern aesthetic with practical features.
At its core, the Sea Vulture 47823 is powered by a reliable quartz movement, ensuring accurate and low-maintenance timekeeping. Its 46mm stainless steel case is complemented by a durable mineral glass, providing a robust shield against daily wear. The integrated chronograph function adds a layer of utility, making it suitable for timing various activities, while its 50-meter water resistance offers protection against splashes and brief immersion.
While the watch's 50m water resistance is adequate for general daily use and light water exposure, it is not designed for serious swimming or diving, despite its "Sea Vulture" moniker. Enthusiasts looking for a true dive watch instrument should consider models with higher water resistance ratings and ISO certifications. The foldover clasp on the stainless steel bracelet ensures a secure fit, but the overall finish might not appeal to those seeking refined, understated elegance.
Ultimately, the Invicta Sea Vulture 47823 is a solid choice for men who appreciate a large, eye-catching watch with chronograph functionality and the convenience of a quartz movement. It serves well as a daily beater or a casual statement piece. For those prioritizing robust water sports capabilities, exploring dedicated dive watches from other brands might be a better alternative in a similar price bracket.
