Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Speedway 20310 suitable for daily wear and sports activities?
Yes, the Invicta Speedway 20310 is designed for daily use and various sports activities. Its robust 50mm stainless steel case and 100m water resistance make it durable enough for swimming and snorkeling, though it's not intended for diving. The polyurethane strap also ensures comfort during active use.
What is the difference between this Invicta Speedway and other chronographs in its price range?
The Invicta Speedway 20310 stands out with its bold 50mm case size and Invicta's proprietary Flame Fusion Crystal, offering enhanced durability. While many chronographs offer similar quartz movements, this model emphasizes a distinctive, oversized aesthetic and 100m water resistance, making it a robust choice for those seeking a prominent timepiece.
What type of movement does the Invicta Speedway 20310 use?
The Invicta Speedway 20310 is powered by a reliable quartz movement. This ensures precise timekeeping and requires minimal maintenance, primarily battery replacement when needed. Quartz movements are known for their accuracy and durability, making them ideal for a sports-oriented watch.
Can I swim or shower with the Invicta Speedway 20310?
The Invicta Speedway 20310 has a water resistance rating of 100 meters (330 feet), making it suitable for swimming and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for diving. While it can withstand splashes and brief immersion, prolonged exposure to hot water, like in a shower, is generally not advised as it can compromise the seals over time.
How often does the battery need to be replaced in the Invicta Speedway 20310?
The battery life for the quartz movement in the Invicta Speedway 20310 typically ranges from two to three years, depending on usage, especially how often the chronograph functions are engaged. It's advisable to have the battery replaced by a professional to ensure the water resistance seals are properly maintained.
Editor's take
The Invicta Speedway 20310 positions itself as an accessible, oversized sports chronograph, appealing to those who favor a commanding wrist presence. Part of Invicta's extensive Speedway collection, this model embodies the brand's philosophy of bold design and robust construction, making it a statement piece for everyday wear.
Technically, the watch is driven by a reliable quartz movement, ensuring precision and minimal maintenance, a practical choice for a daily beater. Its substantial 50mm stainless steel case is protected by Invicta's proprietary Flame Fusion Crystal, offering a good balance of scratch resistance and shatter protection. The 100-meter water resistance rating makes it suitable for recreational swimming and snorkeling, adding to its versatility.
One potential drawback for some users might be its considerable 50mm case diameter, which can feel overly large on smaller wrists and may not fit comfortably under all shirt cuffs. While its polyurethane strap is durable, some might prefer the more premium feel of a metal bracelet or leather strap, though these are often available as aftermarket options.
This Invicta Speedway is best suited for individuals who appreciate large, eye-catching timepieces and prioritize robust functionality over subtle elegance. It's an excellent option for those seeking a reliable, feature-rich sports watch without a significant investment, offering a strong alternative to more understated quartz chronographs in its price segment.
