Yes, the Citizen Luke Skywalker CA0768-07W is designed for daily wear and offers 100 metres of water resistance. This makes it suitable for recreational swimming and snorkelling, but it is not recommended for scuba diving.
How does the Eco-Drive movement in this Citizen watch work?
The Eco-Drive movement in the Citizen Luke Skywalker CA0768-07W utilises any light source, natural or artificial, to power the watch. This innovative solar technology stores energy in a power cell, eliminating the need for regular battery replacements.
What are the main differences between this model and a standard Citizen chronograph?
The primary difference lies in its unique Star Wars Luke Skywalker theme, featuring specific dial imagery like the Rebel Alliance symbol and X-Wing. Whilst it retains Citizen's reliable chronograph functionality, its aesthetic is distinctly themed compared to a standard, non-licensed chronograph.
What is the recommended wrist size for the 44mm Citizen Luke Skywalker watch?
With a 44mm case diameter and 22mm lug width, the Citizen Luke Skywalker watch generally fits wrist sizes from approximately 6.5 to 8 inches comfortably. Its substantial size makes it a prominent accessory on most adult male wrists.

Editor's take
The Citizen Luke Skywalker CA0768-07W is a playful yet robust chronograph that perfectly blends horological function with a beloved pop culture icon. Designed for Star Wars fans, this timepiece offers a unique way to celebrate the saga on the wrist, appealing to those who seek a watch with character and a story. It's a fantastic entry point for collectors interested in themed watches or a daily wear for enthusiasts.
Underneath its thematic exterior lies Citizen's reliable Eco-Drive solar movement, a hallmark of convenience and environmental consciousness, ensuring the watch never needs a battery change. The 44mm stainless steel case is complemented by a vibrant blue aluminium bezel and protected by a spherical mineral crystal, offering a good balance of durability and visual appeal. Its 100-metre water resistance makes it suitable for everyday activities, including recreational swimming.
Whilst the mineral crystal is durable, it is more prone to scratches than sapphire, which might be a consideration for those with an active lifestyle or who prefer maximum scratch resistance. The thematic dial, whilst a key selling point, might also limit its versatility for formal occasions compared to more understated chronographs. Its size, at 44mm, also makes it a substantial presence on the wrist.
This Citizen chronograph is ideal for Star Wars fans and casual watch enthusiasts looking for a distinctive, low-maintenance timepiece. For those prioritising ultimate scratch resistance or a more classic aesthetic, alternatives with sapphire crystals or simpler dial designs might be worth exploring. However, for a fun, reliable, and conversation-starting watch, the CA0768-07W is a strong contender.
