Yes, the Diesel Mega Chief DZ4648 features a 100m water resistance rating, making it suitable for daily swimming, showering, and even snorkelling. However, it is not recommended for deep-sea diving or high-impact water sports.
What is the difference between this watch and a purely analogue model?

How do I maintain the water resistance of my Diesel Mega Chief watch?
To maintain the 100m water resistance of your Diesel Mega Chief DZ4648, ensure the crown is always pushed in completely. It's also advisable to have the seals checked periodically by a professional, especially after a few years of use, to ensure continued performance.
Is the display on this watch easy to read in low light conditions?
The Diesel Mega Chief DZ4648 features a negative LCD display, which can sometimes be less visible in very dim conditions. However, the watch is equipped with a 'Glow In The Dark' feature, which aids readability in low light.

Is the 51mm case size suitable for all wrist types for daily wear?

Editor's take
The Diesel Mega Chief DZ4648 positions itself as a bold statement piece for the modern man, blending a robust aesthetic with practical digital functionality. This timepiece, part of Diesel's distinctive Mega Chief collection, is designed for those who prefer an oversized watch that stands out on the wrist and offers more than just time-telling.
At its core, the DZ4648 features a digital movement that powers both its analogue hands and the integrated LCD display. The substantial 51mm stainless steel case is complemented by a durable mineral glass, providing ample protection for the intricate dial. With a 100m water resistance rating, it's well-suited for various water activities, adding to its versatility.
While the Mega Chief excels in making a visual impact and offering multiple digital functions, its sheer size might not appeal to all wrist sizes or those seeking a more understated timepiece. The lack of a specific battery type mentioned could also be a minor inconvenience for future maintenance planning.
Ultimately, the Diesel Mega Chief DZ4648 is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a fashion-forward, feature-rich sport watch that doesn't shy away from being noticed. For those who prioritise bold design and digital utility, this model offers a compelling package within its segment.
