This unisex GPS smartwatch combines advanced tracking capabilities with a user-friendly interface, making it suitable for a wide range of activities and daily wear. Its robust feature set caters to both casual users and dedicated athletes looking to optimise their well-being.

Equipped with a bright AMOLED display, the vivoactive 5 offers clear visibility of your metrics and notifications, even in direct sunlight. The fibre-reinforced polymer case ensures durability while maintaining a lightweight profile, complemented by a comfortable silicone strap and a secure buckle clasp. With a water resistance of 50m, it is suitable for swimming and showering, providing peace of mind during various water-based activities.

Beyond its core tracking, the watch boasts an impressive battery life of up to 11 days in smartwatch mode, minimising the need for frequent charging. It integrates seamlessly with over 30 built-in sports apps and offers unique features like wheelchair mode and advanced sleep coaching, making it a truly adaptable device for diverse lifestyles.

The Garmin vivoactive 5 010-02862-15 positions itself as a robust and feature-rich GPS smartwatch, catering to a broad audience from casual fitness enthusiasts to more dedicated athletes. It builds upon Garmin's strong reputation in wearable technology, offering a compelling blend of daily utility and advanced health monitoring. This model is particularly well-suited for users who prioritise detailed insights into their physical well-being and activity levels.

A standout technical feature is its vibrant AMOLED display, which provides crisp visuals and excellent readability, a significant upgrade for a device in this segment. Coupled with an impressive 11-day battery life in smartwatch mode, it minimises charging interruptions, enhancing its practicality for continuous wear. The fibre-reinforced polymer case ensures durability without adding excessive weight, making it comfortable for all-day use and various sports.

While the vivoactive 5 excels in comprehensive health and fitness tracking, including unique features like wheelchair mode and advanced sleep coaching, it's important to note its 50m water resistance is suitable for swimming but not for high-impact water sports or diving. Users requiring deeper water capabilities might need to consider a dedicated dive computer or a smartwatch with a higher WR rating. Its focus is primarily on general fitness and wellness rather than extreme outdoor adventures.

Ultimately, the Garmin vivoactive 5 is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a reliable and intelligent companion to manage their health and fitness journey. Its extensive suite of sensors, including wrist-based heart rate and GPS, alongside its intuitive software, makes it a strong contender against other mid-range smartwatches. For those prioritising a bright screen, long battery life, and detailed health metrics, this model offers substantial value.
