How does the Golden Hour 1317 compare to other sport watches in its price range?
The Golden Hour 1317 stands out with its clear digital display, shock-resistant construction, and a comfortable silicone strap, all powered by a reliable Japanese quartz movement. Many alternatives might offer similar water resistance but may lack the same combination of durability and digital features at this price point.

What type of maintenance does the quartz movement require?

Editor's take
The Golden Hour 1317 GH-1317-RG-Starlight positions itself as an accessible and functional digital sport watch tailored for women. Its modern design, highlighted by a vibrant starlight dial and a comfortable silicone strap, makes it a versatile accessory for everyday wear and light athletic pursuits. This model from Golden Hour aims to combine contemporary style with essential features for an active lifestyle.
Technically, the watch features a robust 38mm metal case and is powered by a reliable Japanese quartz movement, ensuring accurate timekeeping without the need for manual winding. Its 50-metre water resistance rating means it can comfortably handle splashes, rain, and even recreational swimming or snorkelling. The clear digital display is protected by a durable metal glass, offering good readability and resilience against minor impacts.
While the Golden Hour 1317 offers a compelling set of features for its price point, potential buyers should note its metal glass rather than sapphire, which, while durable, is more prone to scratching. Furthermore, while 50m water resistance is good for surface water activities, it is not suitable for serious diving, which typically requires 200m or more and an ISO 6425 certification.
This watch is an excellent choice for women seeking a stylish yet practical digital timepiece for daily wear, gym sessions, or casual outdoor adventures. Its shock-resistant construction and multiple functions like chronograph and alarm make it a reliable companion. For those requiring deeper water resistance or a more scratch-proof crystal, alternatives in a higher price bracket might be considered.
