Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Guess GW0998L2 suitable for daily swimming or showering?
The Guess GW0998L2 has a water resistance of 50 metres, making it suitable for splashes, light rain, and brief immersion. However, it is not recommended for swimming, showering, or diving, as prolonged water exposure or pressure changes can compromise its seals.
What type of movement does this watch use, and how often does it need maintenance?
The GW0998L2 uses a reliable quartz movement, which is battery-powered. Quartz watches are known for their accuracy and low maintenance. Typically, the battery will need to be replaced every 2-3 years, and general service is minimal compared to mechanical watches.
How does the GW0998L2 compare to other fashion watches in its price range?
The Guess GW0998L2 stands out with its vibrant pink silicone strap and clean white dial, offering a distinct fashion statement. Compared to alternatives, its 36mm stainless steel case and 50m water resistance provide a good balance of style and daily durability, making it a versatile choice for casual wear.
Is the mineral glass lens durable against scratches for everyday wear?
The mineral glass lens on the Guess GW0998L2 offers good resistance against everyday bumps and minor impacts. While it is more durable than acrylic, it is generally more susceptible to scratches than sapphire crystal, so care should be taken to avoid abrasive surfaces during daily activities.
What wrist sizes is the 36mm case and 7.5-inch strap suitable for?
The 36mm case of the Guess GW0998L2 is a versatile size that typically suits a wide range of women's wrists, from smaller to average. The 7.5-inch pink silicone strap provides ample length and flexibility to comfortably fit most wrist circumferences, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit for daily wear.
Can I easily change the pink silicone strap on this Guess watch?
While the Guess GW0998L2 comes with a stylish pink silicone strap, changing it might require a watch tool or professional assistance, as it's not designed for quick-release. For those who enjoy customising their watch, it's best to consult a jeweller or watch specialist for strap replacement options.

The Guess GW0998L2 from the DEVOTION collection is designed for women seeking a blend of casual style and reliable timekeeping. This 36mm quartz watch offers a vibrant aesthetic with its pink silicone strap and white dial, making it an ideal accessory for everyday wear or light recreational activities. It caters to those who appreciate a fashionable yet functional timepiece that complements a dynamic lifestyle.

Its stainless steel case provides durability, while the mineral glass lens protects the crisp white dial. With a water resistance rating of 50 metres, this watch is suitable for splashes and brief immersion, offering practical versatility for daily use.
While the 50-metre water resistance is adequate for everyday scenarios like hand washing or light rain, it is not designed for swimming or diving, which is a common limitation for fashion-oriented watches. The mineral glass, though robust, may be more prone to scratches compared to sapphire crystal, a trade-off often seen in this segment to maintain an accessible price point. Its silicone strap prioritises comfort and casual appeal over formal elegance.
This Guess watch is best suited for individuals who prioritise contemporary design and ease of use in their timepiece. It's a perfect choice for those looking for a stylish, low-maintenance watch for casual outings or as a vibrant fashion statement. For those requiring higher water resistance or scratch protection, exploring sport watches with sapphire crystal or dedicated dive watches might be a more suitable alternative.
