Hamilton Khaki Navy H82335131, 40mm, Black Dial

The H-10 calibre at the heart of this watch delivers an impressive 80-hour power reserve, a significant advantage for an automatic piece at this price point. This extended running time means the watch can be set down for a weekend and will still be ticking on Monday morning. Its Swiss origins ensure a baseline of reliable performance and serviceability.

Its 40mm stainless steel case provides a balanced presence on the wrist, neither too large for daily use nor too small to feel substantial. The unidirectional rotating bezel and clean black dial with luminous markers adhere to classic dive watch design cues. Legibility is excellent, protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that offers clarity and durability.

The watch is secured by a three-link stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp, providing a secure and comfortable fit. The 20mm lug width allows for easy strap changes, giving the owner options to customise the look with leather or nylon straps. The overall construction feels solid, ready for everyday challenges on land or near the water.

The Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba Auto occupies an interesting space for new and seasoned collectors alike. It presents a strong entry into Swiss automatic watchmaking without the steep financial commitment of higher-end divers. The H-10 movement, with its 80-hour power reserve, is a standout feature that punches well above its weight class.

Its 40mm case diameter is a key asset, hitting a sweet spot that appeals to a wide range of wrist sizes and avoids the oversized trend. The use of Stainless Steel for the case and the matching three-link bracelet provides a familiar heft and robustness. Pairing this with a true Sapphire Crystal front glass is a notable value proposition, offering superior scratch resistance compared to the mineral glass often found on competitors.

A critical point of consideration is the water resistance rating. While the 'Scuba' name suggests serious underwater capability, the 100-metre rating without an ISO 6425 certification positions this more as a 'desk diver' or a watch for surface swimming. It is not intended for professional saturation diving, a distinction potential buyers should understand.

For the enthusiast seeking a reliable, handsome, and versatile daily watch with dive-inspired looks from a respected brand, the H82335131 is an excellent choice. It delivers on the promise of a robust swiss automatic movement and quality materials where they count most. This is a watch that confidently handles daily life and weekend recreation with style.
