At its core, this model relies on a Japanese quartz movement, known for its precision and low maintenance requirements, making it a dependable choice for everyday use. The 39.5mm stainless steel case offers a comfortable yet substantial presence on the wrist, complemented by a mineral crystal that provides adequate protection against scratches and impacts. With a water resistance of 200 metres, it is well-suited for various water-related activities, excluding professional scuba diving.

While the Speedway 14384 offers impressive water resistance and chronograph functionality, its mineral crystal, rather than sapphire, is a point to consider for those prioritising ultimate scratch resistance. Additionally, the tachymeter bezel, while functional, might be underutilised by most wearers, serving primarily as an aesthetic element. Its relatively thick profile for a quartz watch might also be a factor for those preferring a more discreet fit under shirt cuffs.

Ultimately, the Invicta Speedway 14384 is a solid recommendation for individuals seeking a visually striking and functionally capable chronograph at an accessible price point. It serves as an excellent entry into the world of robust sports watches, particularly for those who appreciate the Speedway collection's distinctive design. For a similar budget, one might also explore entry-level dive watches for a different aesthetic focus.
