The Bertucci M-2RA 18509 has a water resistance of 50 meters, making it suitable for splashes, rain, and brief immersion. However, it is not recommended for daily swimming, showering, or high-impact water sports, as prolonged exposure or pressure changes can compromise its seals.
What makes the polycarbonate case of this watch durable for sport activities?
The Bertucci M-2RA 18509 features a U.S. patented polycarbonate case known for its excellent shock absorption and lightweight properties. This material provides robust protection against impacts and scratches, making it ideal for active and sport-oriented daily wear.
What type of movement does the Bertucci M-2RA 18509 use, and what is its battery life?
This Bertucci field watch is powered by a precise Japanese quartz movement, ensuring reliable and accurate timekeeping. It boasts an impressive 4-year battery life, offering extended performance before a battery change is needed, which is convenient for daily users.
How well can I read the time on the M-2RA 18509 in low-light conditions?
The Bertucci M-2RA 18509 is equipped with Swiss Super Luminous markers on its green dial. This feature significantly enhances visibility in dim or dark environments, allowing for clear and quick time reading, which is essential for a field watch.

Editor's take
The Bertucci M-2RA 18509 presents itself as a thoughtfully designed women's field watch, blending robust utility with a refined aesthetic suitable for daily wear. This timepiece is crafted for individuals who appreciate a watch that can withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle while maintaining a comfortable and unobtrusive presence on the wrist. Its military-inspired theme is subtly integrated, making it versatile for various casual settings.
At its core, the M-2RA 18509 relies on a precise Japanese quartz movement, ensuring dependable accuracy and minimal maintenance, a hallmark of practical field watches. The watch's resilience is further enhanced by its polycarbonate case, which offers excellent shock resistance and a lightweight feel, paired with a domed Duraform crystal for superior impact protection and clear readability. A 50-meter water resistance rating makes it suitable for everyday splashes and brief immersion.
While the 50-meter water resistance is adequate for daily activities, it falls short of the ISO 6425 standard required for serious diving, meaning this watch is not intended for prolonged underwater use or high-impact water sports. Furthermore, the Comfort-Webb strap, while comfortable, might not appeal to those preferring traditional metal bracelets or leather straps for a more formal look, limiting its versatility in dressier contexts.
Ultimately, the Bertucci M-2RA 18509 is an excellent choice for women seeking a durable, low-maintenance, and comfortable everyday watch with a distinct field aesthetic. Its combination of a lightweight build, reliable quartz timekeeping, and enhanced visibility makes it a strong contender against other casual or sport-oriented watches in its segment, particularly for those prioritizing comfort and ruggedness.
