Yes, the CIVO 1258 is designed for daily use and various sport activities. Its durable rubber case and 50m water resistance make it robust enough for active lifestyles, including running and football.
Can I swim or shower with the CIVO 1258 watch?
The CIVO 1258 has 50m water resistance, meaning it can withstand splashes and brief immersion. It is generally not recommended for swimming or showering as prolonged exposure to water pressure or hot water can compromise seals.
What is the battery life like for this CIVO digital watch?
The CIVO 1258 uses an imported Japanese quartz movement and battery, offering a service life of over one year. Battery replacement is typically straightforward for this type of watch.
How does the CIVO 1258 compare versus other digital watches for boys?
The CIVO 1258 stands out with its large 50mm display and multifunctional features like alarm and stopwatch, making it easy to read and use. It offers a robust build with a comfortable rubber strap, providing a good alternative to simpler models.
What wrist size is this CIVO 1258 watch suitable for?

Editor's take
The CIVO 1258 is positioned as an accessible and robust digital sport watch, specifically targeting younger users or those who prefer a larger, easy-to-read display. Its straightforward design and practical features make it a suitable companion for daily activities, from school to outdoor play. This model embodies a no-frills approach to functional timekeeping.
At its core, the CIVO 1258 relies on a reliable quartz movement, ensuring accurate timekeeping without the need for manual winding. The 50mm rubber case provides a durable and lightweight housing, complemented by a comfortable silicone strap. Key functionalities include a 12-digit LCD display, a 1/100 second stopwatch, and a daily alarm, all protected by a resilient crystal glass.
While the 50m water resistance is adequate for splashes and brief immersion, it's important to note that this watch is not designed for serious swimming or diving, despite its "Waterproof" classification in some listings. The crystal glass, while robust, may be more prone to scratches than sapphire alternatives found in higher-end watches. Its large size might also be overwhelming for very small wrists.
Ultimately, the CIVO 1258 is an excellent choice for parents seeking a durable and feature-rich first watch for their child, or for adults who prefer a simple, oversized digital timepiece for casual wear. For those requiring more advanced sports tracking or deeper water resistance, exploring dedicated fitness trackers or entry-level dive watches might be a better alternative.
