Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Angel 48845 suitable for daily wear and various activities?
Yes, the Invicta Angel 48845 is designed for daily use. Its durable stainless steel case and mineral crystal offer good protection against everyday bumps and scratches. The quartz movement ensures reliable timekeeping for all your casual and semi-formal engagements.
Can I swim or shower while wearing the Invicta Angel 48845?
The Invicta Angel 48845 has a water resistance of 50 meters. This rating means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion. However, it is not recommended for swimming, showering, or diving, as prolonged water exposure or pressure changes can compromise its seals.
What type of battery does this watch use, and how often does it need replacement?
The Invicta Angel 48845 uses a standard watch battery, typical for quartz movements. While specific battery life can vary, most quartz watch batteries last between two to three years. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a professional to ensure the water resistance is maintained.
How does the Invicta Angel 48845 compare to other watches in its price range?
The Invicta Angel 48845 stands out with its unisex design, classic aesthetic, and robust stainless steel construction. Compared to alternatives, it offers a reliable quartz movement and 50m water resistance at an accessible price point, making it a strong contender for those seeking value and style.
Is the 38mm case size of the Invicta Angel 48845 suitable for all wrist sizes?
The 38mm case size of the Invicta Angel 48845 is considered a versatile size, making it suitable for a wide range of wrist sizes, both men and women. Its moderate diameter ensures a comfortable fit without being overly bulky or too small, making it a great choice for many.
What kind of glass protects the dial of the Invicta Angel 48845?
The dial of the Invicta Angel 48845 is protected by a scratch-resistant mineral crystal. This type of glass offers good clarity and is more resistant to shattering than standard glass, providing a durable shield for the elegant black dial during daily activities.
Editor's take
The Invicta Angel 48845 positions itself as an accessible and versatile timepiece, catering to individuals who appreciate a blend of classic design and modern reliability. As part of the Angel collection, it embodies Invicta's philosophy of offering feature-rich watches at an attractive price point. This model is particularly well-suited for those seeking a single watch that can transition effortlessly between different daily contexts, from office wear to weekend casual.
At its core, the Angel 48845 relies on a dependable quartz movement, ensuring precise timekeeping with minimal need for adjustment or winding. The watch features a robust 38mm stainless steel case and a matching bracelet, providing a solid feel on the wrist. Its black dial is protected by a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, a practical choice for everyday durability, while the 50-meter water resistance offers peace of mind against splashes and brief immersion.
While the mineral crystal provides good everyday protection, it is worth noting that it is more susceptible to deep scratches than sapphire, which is often found in higher-end watches. Furthermore, the 50-meter water resistance, while adequate for daily life, means this watch is not suitable for swimming or diving, limiting its utility for water sports enthusiasts. Buyers should consider their specific needs if frequent water exposure is a concern.
Ultimately, the Invicta Angel 48845 is a solid recommendation for anyone seeking a stylish and reliable everyday watch without a significant investment. Its unisex appeal and classic design make it a safe choice for a gift or a versatile addition to a personal collection. For those requiring greater water resistance or a more robust crystal, exploring other Invicta collections or entry-level dive watches might be a more suitable alternative.
