Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Pro Diver 47131 suitable for swimming or showering?
The Invicta Pro Diver 47131 has a water resistance of 50 meters. This means it is generally suitable for short periods of recreational swimming in shallow water, but it is not recommended for showering, snorkeling, or diving, as the water pressure and temperature changes can compromise the seals.
What type of movement does the Invicta Pro Diver 47131 use?
The Invicta Pro Diver 47131 is powered by a reliable quartz movement. This type of movement is battery-operated and known for its accuracy and minimal maintenance requirements, making it a practical choice for daily wear.
How does the Invicta Pro Diver 47131 compare to other sport watches in its price range?
The Invicta Pro Diver 47131 stands out with its bold 44mm stainless steel case and classic dive-inspired aesthetic. While its 50m water resistance is modest for a 'diver' labeled watch, it offers a robust build and reliable quartz accuracy, making it a strong alternative for those prioritizing style and daily functionality over deep-sea capabilities.
What is the recommended maintenance for the Invicta Pro Diver 47131?
For optimal performance of your Invicta Pro Diver 47131, it's recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional watchmaker when needed, typically every 2-3 years. Regular cleaning of the stainless steel bracelet and case with a soft cloth will help maintain its appearance. Ensure the crown is always pushed in to maintain water resistance.
Is the 44mm case size of the Invicta Pro Diver 47131 suitable for all wrist sizes?
The 44mm case size of the Invicta Pro Diver 47131 offers a substantial presence on the wrist, which is popular among men. It generally fits well on medium to larger wrist sizes, typically from 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) and up. For smaller wrists, it might feel quite prominent, so checking the fit is always advisable.
Editor's take
The Invicta Pro Diver 47131 positions itself as an accessible entry into the popular dive-inspired watch segment, catering to men who appreciate a bold wrist presence without the premium price tag. This model, part of the extensive Pro Diver collection, offers a familiar aesthetic that resonates with enthusiasts of robust, sporty timepieces.
At its core, the 47131 is powered by a reliable quartz movement, ensuring precise and low-maintenance timekeeping. Its substantial 44mm stainless steel case provides a confident feel on the wrist, complemented by a matching stainless steel bracelet and a protective crystal glass. While it boasts a dive-inspired design, its 50-meter water resistance is more suited for everyday splashes than serious underwater exploration.
One might note that while the design evokes a dive watch, the 50m water resistance means it's not suitable for actual diving or even prolonged swimming. This is a crucial distinction for potential buyers who might be drawn to the 'Pro Diver' moniker. The use of a standard crystal rather than sapphire also reflects its accessible price point.
Ultimately, the Invicta Pro Diver 47131 is recommended for individuals seeking a visually striking, reliable daily wearer with a sporty edge. It's an excellent choice for those who value the aesthetic of a dive watch and the convenience of a quartz movement, making it a solid option for casual wearers rather than professional divers.
