Description
The Nine West NW/2337OMSV is a women's dress watch built around a glitter ombre dial. It suits anyone who wants a light, decorative piece for daily outfits or evenings out, without the weight of a large case.
The watch uses a Japanese quartz movement with an analog display. The round metal case measures 36mm across and is 8mm thick, with a 12mm lug width and mineral glass over the dial. The silver-tone link bracelet is 7 inches long, and the watch weighs about 100 grams.
The dial is the main feature, with silver-tone hands and markers over a shimmering ombre surface and a black printed outer minute track. A fold over clasp with double push-button safety keeps it secure on the wrist. It is not water resistant, so it is best kept away from water.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wear the Nine West glitter ombre watch in the shower?
It is not recommended. This Nine West watch is not water resistant, so steam, splashes and rain can all reach the movement through the case. Take it off before washing your hands, showering or swimming, and treat it as a dry-use dress watch for daily outfits and evenings out.
Will it fit a small wrist?
The case is 36mm across and 8mm thick, which sits comfortably on small to average wrists. The 7 inch silver-tone link bracelet fits most average wrists, and a jeweler can usually remove or add links if you need the fit adjusted. The 12mm lug width is also helpful if you ever want to try a different strap.
Is it suitable for daily sport or walking?
It is listed for walking, so light everyday wear is fine, but it is a dress watch and not a sport watch. With no water resistance and a mineral glass, it is better kept away from sweaty workouts, rain and rough knocks. For active days, a water resistant sport watch is the better choice.
How does it compare with other fashion watches?
Compared with many fashion watches, this Nine West model stands out for its glitter ombre dial and Japanese quartz movement. The metal case and link bracelet give it a more finished look than a simple strap watch. Versus sport quartz watches, it gives up water resistance in exchange for style.
What kind of service does it need, and how is the battery changed?
Its Japanese quartz movement needs no winding, only a battery replacement when it runs down, usually every couple of years. A local watch shop or jeweler can do this quickly. Because the watch is not water resistant, there is no seal pressure test to worry about during service.
Who is this watch suitable for?
This Nine West watch is suitable for women who want a light, sparkly dress watch for office wear, dinners or as a gift. The 36mm case and silver-tone bracelet go with most outfits and metals. Buyers who need a tougher or water resistant watch should consider other options.
Editor's take
Nine West has long worked in the affordable fashion watch space, and this model sits squarely there as a women's dress piece with a decorative glitter ombre dial. It is aimed at someone who wants sparkle on the wrist at a modest price, not a tool watch or a collector's piece.
The Japanese quartz movement keeps things simple and accurate enough for daily wear, with no winding and only a battery change to think about. At 36mm and 8mm thick, the metal case sits comfortably on smaller and average wrists, and the mineral glass protects the dial against everyday knocks, though it scratches more easily than sapphire.
The main limitation is that the watch is not water resistant. Handwashing, rain and showers are all best avoided, so anyone who wants a watch for travel or active days should look at a model with a stated water resistance rating. The fold over clasp with double push-button safety is a sensible touch, but the 7 inch link bracelet will suit only wrists of roughly average size unless links are added.
It makes sense for someone who wants an eye-catching everyday accessory or a gift with a bit of shine. Buyers who want more durability or water protection could look at entry-level quartz watches from established Japanese brands in a similar price bracket.

From the manufacturer
A Restrained 36mm Case
The 36.0mm metal case sits in the classic dress proportion, slim enough to slide under a fitted cuff without looking undersized. Its compact diameter suits smaller wrists and follows the traditional sizing of mid-century dress watches.
Japanese Quartz Accuracy
A Japanese quartz movement drives the NW/2337OMSV, keeping time with steady accuracy and no daily winding. Quartz also means no regular service intervals beyond a battery change, which suits a watch meant for daily wear.
Metal Bracelet, Mineral Crystal
The all-metal bracelet matches the case finish, giving the watch a unified look from lug to clasp. A mineral crystal covers the dial, resisting everyday scuffs while keeping the face clear and easy to read. Water resistance is not rated, so keep it away from sinks and showers.
