Editor's take
The Sekonda Taylor 40397 presents itself as a charming and accessible timepiece designed for the modern woman. With its 34mm metal case and striking green sunray dial, it offers a contemporary aesthetic that is both versatile and eye-catching. This model fits well within Sekonda's reputation for delivering reliable watches that don't compromise on style, making it a solid choice for everyday wear or casual outings.
Powering this elegant piece is a dependable Japanese quartz movement, known for its precision and low maintenance requirements. The watch is equipped with a mineral glass lens for scratch resistance and a practical date window, enhancing its utility. Its 50-meter water resistance ensures it can handle daily splashes and handwashing, providing peace of mind for routine activities without needing constant removal.
While the Taylor 40397 excels in style and basic functionality, its metal case material, rather than stainless steel throughout, might be a consideration for those seeking maximum durability or hypoallergenic properties. The buckle clasp on the stainless steel bracelet offers a secure fit, but some might prefer a deployant clasp for a more seamless look.
Ultimately, the Sekonda Taylor 40397 is an excellent option for women seeking a fashionable and reliable quartz watch for daily use. It's particularly suited for those who appreciate a pop of color and a classic round dial. For a similar price point, alternatives might include other fashion-forward quartz watches from brands like Olivia Burton or Timex, though perhaps without the same distinct green dial.
