Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Timex Tribute Gamer suitable for daily swimming or showering?
The Timex Tribute Gamer TWZUWVIME has a water resistance of 50 meters, making it suitable for short periods of recreational swimming. However, it is not recommended for showering, diving, or snorkeling, as the steam and pressure changes can compromise the seals over time.
What kind of movement does this Timex watch use?
This Timex Tribute Gamer watch is powered by a reliable quartz movement. This type of movement is known for its accuracy and requires minimal maintenance, typically only needing a battery replacement every few years.
How does the Timex Tribute Gamer compare to other casual watches in its price range?
The Timex Tribute Gamer TWZUWVIME stands out with its collegiate theme, durable brass case, and comfortable silicone strap. While many watches in this range offer similar quartz movements and mineral glass, the Timex provides a distinct aesthetic and a practical QuickDate function, making it a solid choice for casual wear.
What is the wrist circumference range for this watch?
The adjustable 20mm silicone strap on the Timex Tribute Gamer TWZUWVIME is designed to fit a wide range of wrist sizes, accommodating up to an 8-inch wrist circumference. This ensures a comfortable and secure fit for most men.

Editor's take
The Timex Tribute Gamer TWZUWVIME is an accessible and spirited timepiece, designed for individuals who want to showcase collegiate pride or simply enjoy a casual, robust watch. This 42mm model from the Tribute Collegiate collection blends a classic round dial with modern, durable materials, making it a fitting choice for daily wear and light recreational activities. It's a straightforward watch that doesn't overcomplicate its purpose.
Technically, the watch relies on a dependable quartz movement, known for its precision and low maintenance. Its 42mm brass case offers a substantial presence, protected by a mineral glass crystal that provides good scratch resistance for its price point. The 50-meter water resistance rating means it can handle splashes and short swims, aligning with its active lifestyle appeal.
While the Timex Tribute Gamer excels in its casual niche, its limitations are worth noting. The mineral glass, though scratch-resistant, isn't as impervious to deep scratches as sapphire, a common trade-off. Furthermore, the 50m water resistance, suitable for recreational swimming, isn't designed for diving or prolonged submersion, which might be a consideration for more adventurous users.
Ultimately, this Timex model is an excellent choice for those seeking an affordable, reliable, and fun watch that can withstand daily life and light sports. It's well-suited for students, sports fans, or anyone desiring a no-fuss timepiece with a clear, legible dial and a comfortable silicone strap. For higher water resistance or a more robust crystal, dedicated dive watches might be a better alternative.
