Health monitoring covers heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, sleep, and menstrual and fertile periods, while more than 120 sports modes track steps, distance, and calories. Frequently Asked Questions
How often will I need to charge the Amazfit Bip 5 Core?
Amazfit quotes up to 11 days of typical use, and up to 26 days in battery-saver mode. In practice, heavy use of sports tracking or a bright screen will shorten that, but most people charge it roughly once a week, which is far less often than a typical smartwatch.
Can I wear it in the shower or for a swim?
The listing only states a general water resistant rating for the Bip 5 Core, without a metre depth. For that reason it is safest for rain, hand washing and sweat, and I would not rely on it for swimming or hot showers, where a rated sport watch is a better choice.
Will it fit my wrist, and can men and women both wear it?
The Bip 5 Core has a 46mm case with a silicone strap and buckle closure. It is sold for both men and women, and the strap adjusts, so most average wrists are fine. Very slim wrists may find it large, so check the buckle holes.
Which phones and fitness apps does it work with?
The Bip 5 Core runs Zepp OS 3.0 and syncs with Strava, Adidas Running, Apple Health and Google Fit. That covers most common phones, and you can share workout data without manual exports to keep all your activity history in one place.
How does it compare with a Garmin or Apple Watch for daily use?
The Bip 5 Core trades premium materials and a deep app store for long battery life and a low price. It offers 120+ sports modes plus heart rate, blood oxygen and sleep tracking, so it suits casual fitness better than serious training metrics.
Does it do more than count steps?
Yes, the Bip 5 Core tracks heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and sleep, and it covers menstrual and fertile periods. It also reminds you to stay active, and with 120+ sports modes it logs distance and calories for many different workouts.
Editor's take
Amazfit built the Bip 5 Core for people who want a capable fitness companion without paying for a premium wearable. It sits in the entry tier of the Bip line, with a 46mm footprint, a silicone strap and a buckle closure that suit daily wear for both men and women.
The headline is endurance. Amazfit quotes up to 11 days of use and 26 days in battery-saver mode, which means weekly charging rather than nightly. The 1.91-inch screen with an anti-fingerprint coating sits in a stainless steel frame, and Zepp OS 3.0 adds mini apps and more than 70 watch faces.
The trade-off is positioning. The listing gives only a general water resistance rating, so this is not a watch to treat as a dedicated swim or dive tool. Likewise, the Core name signals a trimmed feature set, so anyone expecting premium materials or a rich app ecosystem should look higher in the range.
It suits first-time smartwatch buyers, gym users and anyone who wants sleep, heart rate and blood oxygen tracking with 120+ sports modes at a modest price. Shoppers wanting more polish could consider a mid-range Garmin or an Apple Watch SE.

From the manufacturer
Train Your Way
The Bip 5 Core is built around a 46mm case that stays light on the wrist through long sessions, whether you run, cycle, or lift. Built-in sport modes let you pick the activity that matches your day and log it without carrying a phone. The data stays readable at a glance mid-workout.
Lightweight Silicone Strap
The silicone strap suits sweat-heavy training and daily wear alike. It is soft against the skin, easy to rinse clean, and holds its shape through repeated bending. Swapping it is simple, so the 46mm case can follow your routine from gym to desk.
Large Display, Clear Reading
A 46mm case gives the display enough room for legible metrics, notifications, and watch faces without crowding the screen. Text and numbers remain easy to parse while your wrist is moving. It is a practical layout for anyone who checks the watch dozens of times a day.
Train Your Way
Choose from a range of sport modes and track pace, duration, and heart rate as you move. The Bip 5 Core records each session so you can review effort and recovery afterwards. Training goals stay visible, which keeps the routine consistent from week to week.
Sleek & Stylish Design
The 46mm case keeps a clean, modern profile, paired with a silicone strap that stays comfortable from morning workouts to evening wear. Its proportions sit flat and balanced on the wrist. The look is understated enough to pair with both athletic and casual clothing.
24-hour Health Monitoring
The Bip 5 Core tracks heart rate and sleep around the clock, building a continuous picture of how your body responds to activity and rest. Trends are collected in the companion app for review over days and weeks. Wearing it overnight gives the sleep record its full context.
