Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Angel 17482 suitable for daily swimming?
Yes, the Invicta Angel 17482 offers 100 metres (330 feet) of water resistance, making it suitable for daily swimming, snorkelling, and showering. However, it is not recommended for high-impact water sports or diving.
What type of movement powers the Invicta Angel 17482?
This Invicta Angel watch is powered by a reliable Japanese quartz movement. This ensures accurate timekeeping and requires minimal maintenance, primarily battery replacement every few years.
How does the Flame Fusion crystal compare to sapphire glass?
The Flame Fusion crystal on the Invicta Angel 17482 is a proprietary hardened mineral glass designed to offer enhanced scratch and impact resistance. While not as hard as pure sapphire, it provides a good balance of durability and cost-effectiveness for daily wear.
Is the 38mm case size suitable for all wrist sizes?
The 38mm case diameter of the Invicta Angel 17482 is generally considered a versatile size for women's wrists. It offers a noticeable presence without being overly large, fitting comfortably on most average to smaller wrist sizes, typically from 6 to 7.5 inches.
Can I easily change the black polyurethane strap?

Editor's take
The Invicta Angel 17482 positions itself as an accessible and stylish sport watch for women, blending a robust build with a touch of elegance. Part of the popular Angel collection, this model is designed for daily wear, offering a versatile aesthetic that transitions smoothly from casual outings to more active pursuits. Its 38mm case size is well-suited for a feminine wrist, providing a noticeable presence without being overly bulky.
Underneath its attractive exterior, the Angel 17482 is driven by a reliable Japanese quartz movement, known for its precision and low maintenance requirements. The watch features a durable stainless steel case and a Flame Fusion crystal, which is Invicta's proprietary hardened mineral glass, offering enhanced scratch and impact resistance compared to standard mineral crystals. With a water resistance of 100 metres, it is perfectly capable of handling splashes, showers, and recreational swimming.
While the polyurethane strap contributes to its sporty appeal and comfort, some users might prefer the more premium feel and durability of a metal bracelet or a genuine leather strap for different occasions. The quartz movement, while accurate, lacks the mechanical charm and sweeping second hand of an automatic timepiece, which might be a consideration for horology enthusiasts.
Overall, the Invicta Angel 17482 is an excellent choice for women seeking a dependable, stylish, and water-resistant watch for everyday wear and light sporting activities. It offers solid value for its price point, making it a practical option for those who prioritise functionality and a contemporary look over intricate mechanical complications.
