Yes, the Invicta Angel Jelly Fish 1645 boasts 200 metres of water resistance, making it suitable for daily swimming, surface water sports, and even recreational diving. However, it's generally recommended to avoid showering with any watch due to potential issues with steam and soap affecting seals over time.
What kind of movement powers the Invicta Angel Jelly Fish 1645?
This Invicta model is equipped with a reliable Japanese VD76 quartz movement. This ensures accurate timekeeping with minimal need for winding or adjustments, making it a convenient choice for everyday wear.
How does the Invicta Angel Jelly Fish 1645 compare to other fashion dive watches?
The Angel Jelly Fish 1645 stands out with its genuine 200m water resistance and synthetic sapphire crystal, features often found in more serious dive watches. Many fashion dive watches offer lower water resistance or use less durable mineral glass, making this Invicta a more robust and practical alternative for active women.
What is the expected battery life for the SR626SW battery in this watch?
While specific battery life can vary, the SR626SW battery typically provides power for approximately 2 to 3 years under normal usage conditions. When the battery runs out, it can be easily replaced by a qualified watch technician.
Is the 38mm case size of the Invicta Angel Jelly Fish 1645 suitable for all wrist sizes?
The 38mm case size is a versatile option for many women's wrists, offering a noticeable presence without being overly large. It generally suits wrist sizes from approximately 6 to 7.5 inches. For smaller wrists, it might feel substantial, while larger wrists will find it comfortable and well-proportioned.
What are the functional subdials on the Invicta Angel Jelly Fish 1645?
The Invicta Angel Jelly Fish 1645 features two functional subdials that display the day of the week and the date. These complications add practical utility to the watch, allowing you to quickly reference calendar information alongside the time.
Editor's take
The Invicta Angel Jelly Fish 1645 positions itself as a versatile women's timepiece, blending the robust capabilities of a dive watch with a touch of fashion-forward design. Aimed at individuals who seek both functionality and aesthetic appeal, this model offers a compelling option for daily wear and aquatic adventures. Its distinctive rose gold-tone case and crystal-accented bezel ensure it stands out.
At its core, the watch is powered by a reliable Japanese VD76 quartz movement, known for its accuracy and low maintenance requirements. The inclusion of a synthetic sapphire crystal is a significant advantage, offering superior scratch resistance compared to mineral glass, a feature often found in higher-priced timepieces. With a water resistance of 200 metres, it is genuinely suitable for swimming, snorkelling, and even recreational diving, making it more than just a fashion accessory.
One potential consideration for purists might be the stationary bezel, which, while aesthetically pleasing with its crystal accents, does not offer the unidirectional functionality typically expected from a dedicated dive watch for timing dives. This design choice prioritises style over strict diving utility, though its water resistance remains robust. The 38mm case size is also quite substantial for some wrists, so a fitting check is advisable.
Ultimately, the Invicta Angel Jelly Fish 1645 is an excellent choice for women seeking a durable, accurate, and stylish watch that can handle various water activities. It's a strong contender for those who appreciate a blend of sporty performance and glamorous detailing, perhaps as an alternative to more traditional fashion watches that lack genuine water resistance.
