Frequently Asked Questions
How deep can I go with the Invicta Pro Diver 35719?
The Invicta Pro Diver 35719 offers 200 metres (660 feet) of water resistance, making it suitable for professional marine activity, surface water sports, and recreational diving. It is designed to withstand significant underwater pressure, ensuring reliability during your aquatic adventures.
What movement powers the Invicta Pro Diver 35719 and what is its power reserve?
This Invicta Pro Diver model is powered by the reliable NH35A Japanese automatic movement, featuring 24 jewels. As an automatic watch, it winds itself with the motion of your wrist. The typical power reserve for an NH35A movement is around 41 hours when fully wound.
Is the Invicta Pro Diver 35719 suitable for daily wear and sports?
Yes, the Invicta Pro Diver 35719 is built with a robust stainless steel case and bracelet, making it durable enough for daily wear. Its 200m water resistance also means it's well-suited for various water sports and activities, though care should be taken with the mineral crystal during high-impact sports.
How does the mineral crystal on this watch compare to sapphire?
The Invicta Pro Diver 35719 uses a mineral crystal, which is more shatter-resistant than sapphire but more prone to scratches. Sapphire crystal, often found in higher-end watches, is highly scratch-resistant but can be more brittle. For daily use, mineral crystal offers a good balance of durability.
What wrist size is suitable for the Invicta Pro Diver 35719?
With its substantial 47mm case diameter, the Invicta Pro Diver 35719 is designed for larger wrists. Generally, it would be most comfortable for wrist sizes ranging from approximately 7 inches (17.8 cm) and up. Individuals with smaller wrists might find the watch feels quite large.
How often should I service an automatic watch like the Invicta Pro Diver 35719?
For an automatic watch like the Invicta Pro Diver 35719, a general service interval of every 3 to 5 years is recommended to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This typically involves cleaning, lubricating, and regulating the NH35A movement, as well as checking seals for water resistance.
Editor's take
Invicta's Pro Diver collection is known for offering accessible dive watch aesthetics and functionality, and the Invicta Pro Diver 35719 continues this tradition. This model is designed for enthusiasts seeking a substantial timepiece with a classic diver silhouette without a prohibitive price tag. Its bold presence and clear legibility make it a strong contender for daily wear or casual aquatic adventures.
At its core, the 35719 is powered by the reliable NH35A Japanese automatic movement, a workhorse calibre known for its robustness and ease of service, featuring 24 jewels. The watch boasts a 47mm stainless steel case, paired with a uni-directional stainless steel bezel with a green top ring, essential for tracking dive times. A mineral crystal protects the vibrant green dial, which is equipped with luminous hands for visibility in low-light conditions.
While the 200-metre water resistance is suitable for professional marine activity and surface water sports, the use of a mineral crystal rather than sapphire is a common trade-off at this price point. Mineral glass is more prone to scratches than sapphire, which might be a consideration for those planning rigorous use. The substantial 47mm case size, while appealing to some, might also be too large for smaller wrists, impacting comfort and wearability.
The Invicta Pro Diver 35719 is an excellent choice for individuals who appreciate a large, robust dive watch aesthetic and reliable automatic movement for everyday wear or recreational diving. For those prioritising scratch resistance or a more compact profile, exploring other dive watches with sapphire crystal or smaller case diameters might be worthwhile. However, for sheer value and classic diver appeal, this model remains a compelling option.
