Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta S1 Rally 49035 suitable for daily wear and sports activities?
The Invicta S1 Rally 49035 is designed for daily casual wear, offering a robust 44mm tonneau case and a comfortable silicone strap. While it can handle everyday use, its 30m water resistance means it's not ideal for swimming or high-impact sports where water exposure is significant. It's more suited for light activities.
What is the difference between this Invicta S1 Rally and other automatic watches in its price range?
The Invicta S1 Rally 49035 stands out with its distinctive tonneau case shape and the visible open heart dial, which showcases the automatic movement. Many watches in this price range might offer a standard round case or a solid dial, making the 49035 a unique choice for those seeking a more unconventional aesthetic and a glimpse into the mechanics.
How often does an automatic watch like the Invicta S1 Rally 49035 need service or maintenance?
An automatic watch like the Invicta S1 Rally 49035 typically benefits from a full service every 3 to 5 years to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This maintenance usually involves cleaning, lubricating, and regulating the movement. Regular wear helps keep the movement wound, but periodic professional checks are recommended.
Can I swim or shower with the Invicta S1 Rally 49035?
The Invicta S1 Rally 49035 has a water resistance rating of 30 metres. This means it is generally suitable for splashes, rain, or brief immersion in water. However, it is not recommended for swimming, showering, or diving, as the pressure and prolonged exposure to water can compromise its seals and damage the automatic movement.
What type of crystal does the Invicta S1 Rally 49035 use, and how durable is it?
The Invicta S1 Rally 49035 features a Flame Fusion crystal. This is a proprietary hardened mineral crystal developed by Invicta, known for offering enhanced scratch resistance and durability compared to standard mineral glass. It provides good protection against everyday bumps and scrapes, maintaining clear visibility of the black dial.
Editor's take
The Invicta S1 Rally 49035 positions itself as an accessible entry into mechanical watch ownership, blending a sporty aesthetic with a touch of horological intrigue. Designed for the man who appreciates a bold wrist presence and the visible mechanics of an automatic movement, this model offers a casual yet distinctive look.
At its core, the S1 Rally 49035 features a robust automatic movement that powers its analog display, eliminating the need for battery changes. The watch is protected by a Flame Fusion crystal, a proprietary hardened mineral glass known for its scratch resistance, and boasts a 44mm tonneau-shaped case that makes a statement on the wrist. Its 30-metre water resistance ensures it can handle daily splashes and rain.
However, the 30-metre water resistance, while sufficient for everyday wear, means this watch is not suitable for swimming, showering, or any prolonged water activities. Enthusiasts seeking a true sports watch for aquatic adventures might find this limitation significant. The silicone strap, while comfortable, may not appeal to those preferring a more formal or metallic bracelet.
This Invicta is best suited for individuals looking for a visually engaging automatic watch for casual settings, particularly those drawn to the open heart dial feature. It serves as an excellent conversation piece and a gateway to appreciating mechanical timekeeping without a significant investment, offering a unique style for daily wear.
