Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352 suitable for daily wear and swimming?
Yes, the Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352 is designed for daily wear and offers 50m water resistance. This means it can be worn while showering or swimming in shallow water, but it is not recommended for scuba diving or high-impact water sports.
What type of movement does the Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352 use?
The Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352 is powered by a reliable quartz movement. This ensures accurate timekeeping and requires minimal maintenance, typically only a battery replacement every few years.
How does the Emery 1782352 compare to other fashion watches in its price range?
The Emery 1782352 stands out with its classic Tommy Hilfiger aesthetic, featuring a clean white dial and a comfortable leather strap. While many watches in this range offer similar quartz reliability, this model emphasises a distinct brand style and versatile design suitable for various occasions.
What is the recommended wrist size for the Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352?
With a 38mm case diameter, the Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352 is well-suited for a wide range of women's wrist sizes, typically fitting wrists from 6 to 7.5 inches comfortably. The leather strap with a tang buckle allows for easy adjustment.
What kind of glass protects the dial of this Tommy Hilfiger watch?
The Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352 features a standard glass crystal protecting its white dial. This type of glass offers good clarity and durability for everyday use, though it may be more susceptible to scratches than sapphire crystals found in some higher-end watches.
Editor's take
The Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352 positions itself as an accessible and fashionable timepiece for women seeking a blend of classic design and modern reliability. Part of Tommy Hilfiger's casual-chic offerings, this watch is ideal for daily wear, seamlessly transitioning from office to evening events with its clean aesthetic.
At its core, the Emery 1782352 features a precise quartz movement, ensuring accurate timekeeping without the need for manual winding. Encased in a 38mm stainless steel body with a slim 8.4mm profile, it offers a comfortable fit on most wrists. The watch is protected by a durable glass crystal and boasts a 50m water resistance, making it suitable for splashes and light swimming.
One aspect to consider is the use of a standard glass crystal rather than sapphire, which might be more prone to scratches over time compared to higher-end watches. While the 50m water resistance is practical for daily activities, it is important to remember that this watch is not designed for serious water sports or diving, despite being suitable for showering or swimming.
Ultimately, the Tommy Hilfiger Emery 1782352 is a solid choice for individuals who prioritise style and brand recognition in a daily watch. For those seeking enhanced durability or advanced water resistance, exploring models with sapphire glass or higher ATM ratings from brands like Citizen or Seiko might be a worthwhile alternative.
