Description
The OUPINKE G3186GH is an automatic skeleton watch for men who like a busy, open dial. A black dial with crystal markers, moon phase window and date display gives it a dressy, decorative look on the wrist.
It uses a Japanese automatic movement that supports both self-winding and manual winding. The case is stainless steel at 42 mm in diameter, with a 12 mm thickness, and the crystal is a triple-coated anti-reflective sapphire. Water resistance is rated at 50 m.
The tungsten steel bracelet has a rhombus link design and a hidden push button butterfly clasp. Luminous hands help with reading in low light. With 50 m resistance it suits splashes and brief contact with water, but not hot water bathing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wear the OUPINKE G3186GH in the shower or pool?
The OUPINKE G3186GH is rated to 50 m, which covers splashes and brief contact with water. It is not meant for swimming, and the seller specifically warns against hot water bathing. For daily wear, rain and hand washing are fine, but keep it out of the pool and shower.
Will a 42 mm watch fit my wrist?
The G3186GH has a 42 mm case that is 12 mm thick, with 20 mm lugs. That is a fairly standard men's size and generally suits wrists of about 6.5 to 8 inches. On a smaller wrist it will look larger, so check the lug to lug fit if yours is slim.
Does this watch need a battery?
No, it is an automatic that winds itself from wrist motion, and it can also be wound by hand with the crown. Wear it daily and it keeps running. If you leave it unworn for a while, give it a few turns of the crown to restart it. Nothing needs a battery change.
Is the tourbillon on the dial real?
The listing describes the dial as a tourbillon matched with a moon phase window and date display. On a watch in this price class it is best treated as a skeleton dial design rather than a true flying tourbillon cage, so enjoy it for the look and not for chronometric performance.
How does it compare with an entry-level Seiko 5 automatic?
The OUPINKE G3186GH offers a sapphire crystal, skeleton dial, moon phase and a tungsten steel bracelet, which are showier features. A Seiko 5 has a named calibre and easier service support. Pick the OUPINKE for looks and the Seiko if you want a documented, widely serviced movement.
How should I look after the bracelet and movement?
Wipe the tungsten steel bracelet with a soft dry cloth, and keep the watch away from hot water and steam. For the movement, have it checked by a watchmaker every few years, since the seller quotes over 10 years of stable running. Wear it regularly to keep the automatic movement lubricated.
Editor's take
OUPINKE sits in the budget corner of the market, and the G3186GH is aimed at buyers who want the look of a skeleton dial with moon phase and date without paying Swiss prices. It was listed in early 2022 and runs on a Japanese automatic movement that supports both self-winding and manual winding.
The specification is better than the price suggests: a sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective coating, a 42 mm stainless steel case and a tungsten steel bracelet with a hidden butterfly clasp. Luminous hands keep the three-hand display readable in dim light, and the crystal markers add some sparkle.
The weak point is water resistance. At 50 m the watch handles splashes and brief immersion, but it is not a swimming or hot shower watch, and the seller says so. The tourbillon effect is also a dial design, so do not expect a true tourbillon cage. The movement has no named calibre, which matters if you plan long-term servicing.
It suits men who want a showy dressy automatic for evenings and office wear. If you want a documented calibre and proper service support, look at entry-level Japanese or Swiss automatics with an exhibition caseback instead.

From the manufacturer
Self-Winding Automatic Movement
The G3186GH runs on an automatic movement that winds from the motion of your wrist, so there is no battery to replace. Wear it daily and the rotor keeps the mainspring charged. If it rests for a day or two, a few gentle shakes will restart it.
42mm Stainless Steel Case
The case measures 42.0mm across and is built from stainless steel, a size that sits comfortably on most wrists without looking oversized. Steel gives the watch a solid weight and holds up well to daily knocks and scratches. It suits both a desk and a weekend.
Sapphire Crystal Over the Dial
A sapphire crystal covers the dial, rated 9 on the Mohs scale and far more scratch resistant than mineral glass. That matters for a watch worn every day, since the dial stays clear and legible as the years pass. Only diamond is harder, so keys and desk edges are unlikely to mark it.
Tungsten Steel Strap
The strap is tungsten steel, a dense and hard material that resists scuffing and keeps its finish better than standard steel links. It has a noticeable heft on the wrist, which many collectors prefer. Expect a firm, durable bracelet that wears in slowly.
50m Water Resistance Explained
Rated to 50 meters, the G3186GH handles splashes, hand washing, rain and brief exposure to water. It is not intended for swimming, diving or hot showers, where pressure and steam can compromise the gaskets. Keep the crown pushed in fully whenever it is near water.
Everyday Wear and Care
This watch pairs a self-winding movement with a steel case, sapphire glass and a tungsten steel strap, a combination aimed at daily use. Wipe it with a soft cloth and keep it away from strong magnets. Wearing it regularly keeps the movement running at its best.
