Description
The Amazfit Bip 6 is a lightweight fitness-focused smartwatch for people who want training data, navigation and health tracking on the wrist without daily charging. It suits runners, cyclists, swimmers and hikers alike.
Its 1.97 inch AMOLED display stays readable in bright sunlight, and the aluminium build is paired with a black silicone strap and a buckle closure. The watch is rated to 50 m water resistance and supports GPS through 5 satellite systems, with free downloadable maps and turn-by-turn directions.
Over 140 workout modes cover everything from HYROX Race to strength training, with AI coaching on top. Round-the-clock monitoring of heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen and stress runs alongside battery life of up to 14 days, so the watch keeps up with a full training week.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I swim with the Amazfit Bip 6 in the pool?
Pool swimming is within its 50 m water resistance rating, and the Bip 6 lists swimming among its supported sports. Showers and rain are fine too. It is not meant for deep diving or high-speed water sports, so keep it to ordinary swimming and everyday water exposure.
How often will I need to charge it for daily use?
Amazfit quotes up to 14 days of battery life for the Bip 6, and typical daily use with moderate GPS workouts will usually land somewhat below that. Heavy GPS tracking and a constantly bright display shorten the figure, but a weekly top-up is a realistic routine for most people.
Does the Bip 6 work with my iPhone?
The listing for the Bip 6 names iOS support, and the watch also handles notifications and text messaging. Pair it through the Amazfit companion app on your phone. Most daily features, such as health tracking and workout sync, work through that connection.
How does the Bip 6 compare with a traditional quartz watch for sport?
A quartz watch tells time reliably but cannot record routes or heart rate. The Bip 6 adds GPS, 140+ workout modes, sleep and blood oxygen tracking on a 1.97 inch AMOLED screen. If you only want time and a classic look, quartz is the alternative; for training data, this is the better fit.
Will it fit a smaller wrist, and can I change the strap?
The Bip 6 uses a 22 mm lug width with a silicone strap and buckle, so most wrists from slim to average fit it comfortably after adjusting the buckle hole. Any standard 22 mm strap can replace the original, which makes it easy to switch to another colour or material.
What kind of health data does the Bip 6 track?
It monitors heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen and stress around the clock, and the AI coaching builds on that data for your workouts. These readings are useful for tracking trends in daily life and training, though they are wellness indicators rather than medical measurements.
Editor's take
Amazfit's Bip line has long targeted people who want a capable fitness watch without flagship pricing, and the Bip 6 continues that approach with a 1.97 inch AMOLED display in a light aluminium case. It is aimed at everyday athletes rather than collectors, and it is a smartwatch in the full sense, with notifications, text messaging and AI assistance.
The most useful hardware here is the GPS receiver with support for 5 satellite systems, paired with free downloadable maps and turn-by-turn directions. That combination is usually reserved for pricier trackers. Battery life of up to 14 days matters just as much, since a watch that needs charging every night rarely tracks sleep reliably.
The main limit is the 50 m water resistance rating. It handles pool swimming and showers, but it is not a dive instrument, even though diving appears among the listed sports. The silicone strap with a standard buckle is comfortable for training, though it looks sporty rather than dressy, and there is no mechanical movement to appreciate.
This suits anyone who wants broad sport tracking, health monitoring and navigation at a modest price. If you prefer a traditional look, a quartz or automatic watch is the better path, while heavier-duty outdoor use may call for a rugged GPS watch with higher water resistance.

Quartz Heritage Meets Smart Function
The Bip 6 Smart, reference A2435, comes from a brand that treats the wrist as a working instrument. It keeps a lightweight silicone strap and a clear display, so the time is easy to read at a glance. Daily wear is the priority here, not ornament.
Vibrant 1.97" AMOLED Display
Enjoy crystal-clear visibility with a bright and responsive display, ensuring effortless readability of your data, notifications, and maps - even under direct sunlight.
Silicone Strap Built for Daily Wear
The silicone strap suits long days and varied conditions, as it resists sweat, soap and repeated flexing without stiffening. It is soft against the skin and easy to wipe clean after a workout or a commute. Anyone used to sport-oriented straps will find the fit familiar and the upkeep simple.
24/7 Health Monitoring
Monitor your heart rate, stress, blood-oxygen, and breathing rate 24/7 with smart alerts for abnormal readings. Check all four metrics simultaneously in just 45 seconds for a quick overview
Zepp App, Powering Amazfit
Your free companion for tracking nutrition and fitness progress, analysing trends, and getting personalised health insights - all in one easy-to-use app
Rated to 50 Metres
A 50m water resistance rating covers rain, hand washing, showering and shallow swimming. That matches what most collectors expect from a sports-leaning daily watch. As with any gasketed case, avoid hot water and high-pressure jets, and rinse the strap after exposure to salt or chlorine.
