Bulova Maquina 98A321, 48mm, Green Dial, Grey Stainless Steel Bracelet

The Bulova Maquina 98A321 is a distinctive men's automatic watch from the avant-garde Maquina collection, designed for men who appreciate bold aesthetics and mechanical artistry. Its striking 48mm tonneau-shaped stainless steel case, finished in gun metal and black tones, houses a captivating green skeleton dial that reveals the intricate workings of its automatic movement.

The dial is further enhanced by luminous hands and markers, ensuring readability. Protecting this sophisticated display is an anti-reflective dual curved sapphire crystal, offering superior scratch resistance and enhanced clarity.

This timepiece is completed with a matching gun metal-tone stainless steel bracelet, secured by a push-button deployant clasp, providing both comfort and security. With a water resistance of 50 metres, the Bulova Maquina 98A321 is suitable for everyday wear and light splashes, making it a versatile choice for the modern man.

The Bulova Maquina 98A321 stands as a striking member of the brand's avant-garde Maquina collection, designed for men who appreciate bold aesthetics and mechanical artistry. This model deviates from traditional watch forms, establishing a unique identity with its skeleton dial and distinctive tonneau case structure, making a powerful statement on the wrist. It caters to those seeking a timepiece that combines modern design with horological intrigue.

At the heart of this watch lies a reliable automatic movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve. This visible mechanism, showcased through the dial, emphasizes the watch's technical depth, while the anti-reflective dual curved sapphire crystal provides superior scratch resistance and enhanced clarity. The 50-metre water resistance rating ensures adequate protection against splashes and brief water exposure during daily wear.

However, the Bulova Maquina 98A321's substantial 48mm tonneau case might not suit all wrist sizes, potentially appearing overly bold on slimmer wrists. Furthermore, its water resistance is not sufficient for swimming or diving activities; for such pursuits, a timepiece with a higher WR rating would be more appropriate. The deployment clasp mechanism, while secure, does not offer quick micro-adjustments.

This watch is ideal for men who are drawn to mechanical watchmaking and seek a modern, daring accessory that makes a statement. It particularly appeals to those who enjoy the visual spectacle of a skeleton dial and are looking for an alternative to classic round case forms. Within a similar price bracket, more traditional automatic dress watches or sport watches with higher water resistance could also be considered.
