All our watch size dataDescription
The Citizen EW1264-50A is a refined and practical timepiece designed for the modern woman who values both elegance and convenience. This watch, with its classic aesthetic, seamlessly transitions from professional settings to casual outings, making it a versatile accessory for everyday wear.
Powered by a Japanese solar quartz movement, the EW1264-50A eliminates the need for regular battery replacements by converting any light source into energy. It features a modest 25mm stainless steel case paired with a clean white dial, offering a subtle yet sophisticated presence on the wrist. Protection is provided by a durable mineral crystal, while the two-tone stainless steel bracelet ensures a secure and comfortable fit.
While the 30 metres of water resistance makes this watch suitable for everyday splashes and light rain, it is not designed for swimming or diving. The mineral crystal, though robust, is more susceptible to scratches compared to a sapphire crystal, a consideration for those with an active lifestyle. This model is ideal for those seeking a low-maintenance, elegant watch that combines classic design with modern solar technology.

How does the Eco-Drive technology work, and does it require battery changes?

Editor's take
The Citizen EW1264-50A is a refined and practical timepiece designed for the modern woman who values both elegance and convenience. As part of Citizen's renowned Eco-Drive collection, this model embodies a commitment to sustainable watchmaking, offering a reliable and stylish accessory for everyday wear. Its classic aesthetic ensures it remains a versatile choice, seamlessly transitioning from professional settings to casual outings.
At its core, the EW1264-50A is powered by a Japanese solar quartz movement, eliminating the need for regular battery replacements by converting any light source into energy. The watch features a modest 25mm stainless steel case paired with a clean white dial, offering a subtle yet sophisticated presence. Protection is provided by a durable mineral crystal, while the two-tone stainless steel bracelet with a fold-over clasp with double push-button safety ensures a secure and comfortable fit.
While the 30 metres of water resistance makes this watch suitable for everyday splashes and light rain, it is not designed for swimming or diving, a common limitation for dressier timepieces. Furthermore, the mineral crystal, though robust, is more susceptible to scratches compared to a sapphire crystal, a consideration for those with an active lifestyle. The relatively small 25mm case size might also be a point of contention for individuals who prefer a more substantial wrist presence.
Ultimately, the Citizen EW1264-50A is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a low-maintenance, elegant watch that combines classic design with modern solar technology. Its Eco-Drive technology offers unparalleled convenience, making it a thoughtful gift or a reliable daily companion. For those prioritising extreme durability or higher water resistance, exploring Citizen's sportier collections or models featuring sapphire glass might be a more suitable alternative.
