Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Angel 48996 suitable for daily wear and sports activities?
The Invicta Angel 48996 is designed primarily as a dress watch for daily wear and casual outings. While it is water resistant, a specific metre rating is not provided, suggesting it's best for splashes rather than intense sports or swimming. For rigorous activities, a dedicated sport watch would be more suitable.
What is the difference between this Invicta Angel model and other women's watches in a similar price range?
The Invicta Angel 48996 stands out with its distinctive square silver dial and 28mm stainless steel case, offering a unique aesthetic compared to many round-cased alternatives. Its reliable quartz movement ensures accuracy, making it a stylish and dependable choice for those who prefer a classic yet modern look.
What type of battery does the Invicta Angel 48996 use and how often does it need to be replaced?
The Invicta Angel 48996 is powered by a standard watch battery, typical for quartz movements. While the exact battery type is not specified, these batteries generally last between 2 to 5 years. It's recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional to maintain the watch's integrity and water resistance.
Is the Invicta Angel 48996 suitable for swimming or showering?
The Invicta Angel 48996 is listed as 'Water Resistant' without a specific depth rating. This typically means it can withstand splashes and brief immersion but is not recommended for swimming, showering, or diving, as prolonged exposure to water could compromise its internal components.
What wrist size is suitable for the 28mm Invicta Angel 48996 watch?
The 28mm case size of the Invicta Angel 48996 is ideal for smaller to average women's wrists, typically fitting wrist circumferences from 5.5 to 7 inches comfortably. The stainless steel bracelet can usually be adjusted by removing links to achieve a perfect fit.
Editor's take
The Invicta Angel 48996 presents itself as a charming and accessible option for women seeking a stylish everyday timepiece. Its compact 28mm size and elegant square dial make it a versatile accessory that can easily transition from casual to more formal settings. This model embodies Invicta's commitment to offering diverse designs within its popular Angel collection.
Technically, the watch relies on a reliable quartz movement, ensuring precise timekeeping without the need for manual winding. The robust stainless steel case and bracelet provide durability, while the mineral crystal offers adequate protection against everyday scratches. The inclusion of a foldover clasp with push button enhances both security and comfort on the wrist.
One point of consideration is the water resistance, which is simply stated as 'Water Resistant' without a specific depth rating. This typically implies resistance only to splashes and light rain, meaning it is not suitable for swimming or showering. Users seeking a watch for aquatic activities should look for models with a clear metre rating.
Overall, the Invicta Angel 48996 is best suited for individuals who prioritise aesthetic appeal and reliable functionality for daily wear. It's an excellent choice for those who appreciate a classic, understated design and prefer the low-maintenance nature of a quartz watch. For similar elegance with enhanced water capabilities, one might explore other collections.
