Description
The Invicta Pro Diver 45812 is a robust and accessible timepiece designed for men who appreciate a blend of classic dive watch aesthetics and reliable automatic performance. Its substantial presence on the wrist makes it a fitting choice for both casual and active lifestyles, embodying the adventurous spirit of the Pro Diver collection.
At its core, this watch is powered by the dependable NH35A automatic movement, housed within a durable 47mm stainless steel case. The watch features a clear glass crystal and offers a practical 100-metre water resistance, making it suitable for recreational swimming and snorkelling. The solid stainless steel bracelet ensures comfort and longevity.
While the 100m water resistance is ample for most daily activities, serious saturation divers might seek higher ratings. However, for everyday wear and light water sports, the Pro Diver 45812 offers excellent value and a bold design. It's a versatile companion for those who desire a sturdy, self-winding watch without compromising on style.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Pro Diver 45812 suitable for daily swimming or showering?
The Invicta Pro Diver 45812 features 100m water resistance, making it suitable for recreational swimming and snorkelling. However, it is not recommended for showering due to potential temperature changes and soap chemicals that can compromise the seals over time, nor for serious diving.
What kind of movement powers this Invicta Pro Diver watch?
This Invicta Pro Diver 45812 is powered by a reliable NH35A automatic movement. This self-winding calibre is known for its durability and accuracy, eliminating the need for a battery and offering a smooth sweeping second hand.
How does the Invicta Pro Diver 45812 compare to other dive watches in its price range?
The Invicta Pro Diver 45812 stands out with its bold 47mm stainless steel case and the dependable NH35A automatic movement, which is often found in higher-priced watches. While its 100m water resistance is good for daily and sport use, some alternatives might offer higher ratings or sapphire glass at a similar price point, catering to different priorities.
What wrist sizes are suitable for the 47mm case of the Invicta Pro Diver 45812?
With its substantial 47mm case diameter, the Invicta Pro Diver 45812 is best suited for individuals with medium to larger wrist sizes, typically 7 inches (18 cm) and above. For smaller wrists, the watch might appear oversized, though personal preference for a bold look can vary.
What kind of maintenance does an automatic watch like the Invicta Pro Diver 45812 require?
An automatic watch like the Invicta Pro Diver 45812 generally benefits from a full service every 3-5 years to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This service typically involves cleaning, lubricating, and regulating the NH35A movement. Regular cleaning of the stainless steel case and bracelet is also recommended.
Editor's take
The Invicta Pro Diver 45812 positions itself as an accessible entry into the world of automatic dive watches, catering to enthusiasts who appreciate a bold aesthetic without an exorbitant price tag. This model, part of Invicta's popular Pro Diver collection, offers a substantial wrist presence and a classic design that echoes more expensive counterparts, making it a compelling choice for everyday wear.
Underneath its striking exterior, the watch is powered by the ubiquitous and reliable Seiko NH35A automatic movement, a workhorse calibre known for its robustness and ease of service. Encased in a generous 47mm stainless steel case and protected by a durable glass crystal, it boasts a 100-metre water resistance, suitable for recreational water activities. The black dial with its crosshair style adds a touch of vintage charm and legibility.
One might note that while it carries the 'Pro Diver' moniker, its 100m water resistance is more aligned with a sport watch than a professional diving instrument. Serious divers requiring ISO 6425 certification or greater depth ratings might find this model insufficient for their specific needs. The generic 'glass' crystal, rather than sapphire, also presents a potential vulnerability to scratches over time.
Ultimately, the Invicta Pro Diver 45812 is best suited for individuals seeking a large, eye-catching automatic watch for daily wear and light aquatic adventures. It offers a fantastic blend of style and mechanical reliability for its price point. For those prioritising extreme durability or professional diving capabilities, exploring alternatives with higher water resistance and sapphire crystals would be advisable.
