Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Speedway 48934 suitable for daily wear?
Yes, the Invicta Speedway 48934 is designed for daily wear, offering a bold aesthetic and reliable quartz movement. However, it is explicitly stated as "Not Water Resistant," so it should be kept away from all water exposure, including hand washing or rain, to prevent damage.
Can I swim or shower while wearing this Invicta watch?
No, the Invicta Speedway 48934 is not water resistant. It is crucial to avoid any contact with water, such as swimming, showering, or even heavy rain, as this could lead to irreparable damage to the watch's internal components.
How does the Invicta Speedway 48934 compare to other unisex quartz watches in its price range?
The Invicta Speedway 48934 stands out with its large 46mm case and distinctive gold and charcoal stainless steel design. While it offers a reliable quartz movement, its key differentiator is its bold style and "Not Water Resistant" rating, which is important to consider against alternatives that might offer water protection.
What kind of maintenance does a quartz watch like the Speedway 48934 require?
A quartz watch like the Invicta Speedway 48934 primarily requires battery replacement, typically every 2-3 years, depending on usage. Beyond that, general cleaning with a soft, dry cloth is recommended to maintain its appearance. Avoid any liquid cleaners due to its lack of water resistance.
Who is the Invicta Speedway 48934 watch most suitable for?
The Invicta Speedway 48934 is suitable for individuals who desire a large, eye-catching unisex timepiece with a reliable quartz movement for dry environments. It appeals to those who prioritise fashion and a strong visual statement over water resistance or advanced complications for sport.
Will the 46mm case size of this watch be too large for my wrist?
The 46mm case size of the Invicta Speedway 48934 is considered large and will have a significant presence on most wrists. While it is a unisex watch, individuals with smaller wrists might find it feels oversized. It's always best to try on a similar size or measure your wrist to ensure a comfortable fit.
Editor's take
The Invicta Speedway 48934 positions itself as a bold, accessible quartz timepiece from a brand known for its distinctive designs. This model caters to individuals who appreciate a significant wrist presence and a visually striking aesthetic, making it a fashion-forward choice rather than a tool watch.
Underpinning its operation is a reliable quartz movement, offering precise timekeeping and low maintenance, which is a key advantage for everyday wear. The watch features a substantial 46mm stainless steel case with a gold and charcoal finish, complemented by a black dial and a protective glass crystal. The stainless steel bracelet with a buckle clasp ensures a secure fit.
However, a critical point of consideration for the Speedway 48934 is its explicit "Not Water Resistant" rating. This means the watch offers no protection against water, making it unsuitable for activities like hand washing, showering, or any form of water exposure. This limitation significantly impacts its versatility as a daily wear watch, requiring careful handling.
Ultimately, the Invicta Speedway 48934 is best suited for those who prioritise a bold, fashion-oriented statement piece and are mindful of its lack of water resistance. For users requiring a more robust or water-protected timepiece, exploring other Invicta collections or alternative brands with higher water resistance ratings would be advisable.
