Editor's take
The Maserati Sfida R8873640017 positions itself as a stylish and functional sports chronograph, appealing to men who seek a timepiece with a distinctive automotive-inspired design. Part of the dynamic Sfida collection, this model combines Maserati's heritage of luxury and performance with practical everyday wearability, making it a compelling choice for enthusiasts.
At its technical heart lies the reliable MVT.MIYOTA JS25 quartz movement, a workhorse known for its precision and durability in chronograph applications. This ensures accurate timekeeping and robust functionality for its timing features. The 44mm alloy steel case is complemented by a vibrant blue sunray dial, protected by a resilient mineral glass that offers adequate scratch resistance for daily use, alongside a 100-metre water resistance rating.
While the mineral glass is functional, some might prefer a sapphire crystal for enhanced scratch protection, especially given the watch's sporty inclination. Additionally, the chronograph function, while present, does not specify the number of subdials, which might be a detail some enthusiasts look for in a dedicated timing instrument.
This Maserati Sfida is ideal for individuals who appreciate a bold, Italian-designed sports watch with reliable quartz accuracy and chronograph capabilities. It serves as an excellent entry point into the world of automotive-inspired timepieces, offering a blend of style and performance without the premium associated with mechanical movements. Consider it if you desire a statement piece for casual and active wear.
