Description
This Nine West women's dress watch pairs a gold-tone look with a compact octagonal case. It suits anyone who wants a polished, dressy piece for office wear or evenings out rather than a sports watch.
The case is metal and measures 27 mm across, with a lug width of 14 mm and a thickness of 8 mm. A Japanese quartz movement drives the analogue display, and the lens is mineral glass. The dial is a light champagne sunray with gold-tone hands and markers.
The adjustable gold-tone link bracelet closes with a fold-over clasp that has a double push-button safety. Note that the watch is not water resistant, so it is best kept away from rain, hand washing and showers during everyday wear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wear this watch in the shower or swimming?
No, the Nine West watch is not water resistant, so showers, swimming and even heavy hand washing are best avoided. Rain splashes may also be a risk over time. Treat it as a dry-wear dress watch and remove it before any contact with water.
Will it fit a small wrist?
The Nine West watch has a 27 mm case, a 14 mm lug width and an 8 mm thickness, so it sits compactly on small to average wrists. The bracelet is an adjustable link design, which lets you set the length for a comfortable fit.
Is it good for daily sport or walking?
It is listed for walking, but it is mainly a dress watch. The case is not water resistant, so sweat, rain and heavy sport are poor matches. For regular workouts, a sturdier sport model is a better alternative.
How does it differ from a mechanical dress watch?
This Nine West watch uses a Japanese quartz movement, so it needs no winding and stays slim at 8 mm. A mechanical watch costs more and needs periodic service, whilst quartz mainly needs a battery change every few years.
How is the battery changed and how often?
The watch is battery powered, and a quartz cell like this generally lasts a couple of years in ordinary use. Battery replacement is quick for a watchmaker or jeweller, and a technician can also check the case seal during the visit.
Who is this watch suitable for?
It is made for women who want a gold-tone dress watch for the office or evenings out. The octagonal case, champagne sunray dial and link bracelet give a polished look, and it also works as a gift.
Editor's take
Nine West aims this model at women who want a gold-tone dress watch without a luxury price. The 27 mm octagonal metal case keeps it neat on smaller wrists, and the light champagne sunray dial gives it some depth under light.
Inside sits a Japanese quartz movement, which keeps the watch thin at 8 mm and needs no winding. The lens is mineral glass, a sensible choice at this level, though it scratches more easily than sapphire.
The main limitation is that the watch is not water resistant, so it should be taken off for hand washing, rain and showers. The fold-over clasp with double push-button safety is secure, but the link bracelet is metal and may feel slightly heavy on very slim wrists.
It suits anyone wanting a smart, dressy piece for the office or evenings out. For regular water exposure, look at a quartz model with a stated water resistance rating instead.

From the manufacturer
A Compact 27mm Dress Case
The 27.0mm metal case sits in the proportions traditionally chosen for dress watches on smaller wrists. A mineral crystal covers the dial, giving a clear and practical surface that suits daily wear in office and evening settings alike.
Japanese Quartz Accuracy
A Japanese quartz movement drives the NW/2902CHGB, which keeps time with the steadiness that quartz is known for. There is no winding or regular adjustment to manage, so the watch is ready whenever you put it on, and service needs stay modest.
Metal Strap, Cohesive Finish
The metal strap continues the case material into the wrist, so the watch reads as one considered piece rather than a head on a band. It pairs easily with tailoring or simple eveningwear, and a metal bracelet holds up well to repeated daily wear.
