The Sekonda Taylor 40439 has a water resistance of 50 metres, which means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering. However, it is not recommended for diving or prolonged water activities to ensure its longevity.
Is the Sekonda Taylor 40439 suitable for daily sport activities?
This watch is designed more for fashion and daily wear rather than rigorous sport activities. While its stainless steel construction offers durability, its 50m water resistance and glass crystal are not ideal for high-impact sports or frequent exposure to water.
Who is the Sekonda Taylor 40439 watch designed for?
The Sekonda Taylor 40439 is specifically designed for women who appreciate an elegant and versatile timepiece. Its classic round shape, silver dial with crystal accents, and 37mm case make it suitable for various occasions, from office wear to social gatherings.

Editor's take
The Sekonda Taylor 40439 positions itself as an accessible and stylish option for women seeking a versatile timepiece. This model, part of Sekonda's fashion-forward offerings, is designed to complement a wide range of outfits and occasions, from casual daytime wear to more sophisticated evening ensembles. Its classic round case and elegant silver dial make it a reliable choice for those prioritising aesthetic appeal and everyday functionality.
At its core, the Taylor 40439 is powered by a dependable quartz movement, ensuring precise and low-maintenance timekeeping. The watch features a robust 37mm stainless steel case and a matching metal bracelet, providing a comfortable and secure fit. Its 50-metre water resistance offers practical durability against splashes and brief immersion, making it suitable for daily activities without undue concern. The dial is protected by a standard glass crystal.
While the Sekonda Taylor 40439 excels in style and basic functionality, it's important to note its water resistance is limited to 50 metres. This rating means it is suitable for light splashes and handwashing but should not be used for swimming or showering, which might be a consideration for more active users. The use of a standard glass crystal, rather than sapphire, also means it may be more prone to scratches over time.
Ultimately, the Sekonda Taylor 40439 is an excellent choice for women who desire an elegant, reliable, and affordable watch for daily wear and special occasions. For those requiring higher water resistance or scratch protection, exploring models with a sapphire crystal or a 100m water resistance rating might be a suitable alternative, though likely at a higher price point.
