Tommy Hilfiger 1791936, 45mm, Black Dial

The Tommy Hilfiger 1791936 Multi Dial Chronograph is designed for the modern man who appreciates a blend of sporty functionality and classic style. This timepiece, with its prominent 45mm case and multi-dial display, offers a bold statement suitable for both casual and semi-formal settings. It embodies the brand's youthful and preppy aesthetic, making it a versatile accessory for daily wear.

At its core, the watch is powered by a reliable multi-function quartz movement, ensuring accurate timekeeping with minimal maintenance. Its robust construction features a stainless steel case and a matching stainless steel link bracelet, providing durability and a comfortable fit. The dial is protected by a resilient mineral glass, offering good resistance against everyday scratches and impacts.

With a water resistance of 5 metres (5 ATM), this Tommy Hilfiger chronograph is suitable for brief immersion in water, such as showering or swimming, but not for diving activities. The deployment clasp with push-button release ensures a secure fit on the wrist, combining convenience with a sleek appearance.

The Tommy Hilfiger 1791936 Multi Dial Chronograph positions itself as an accessible fashion timepiece, blending the brand's signature preppy aesthetic with practical functionality. Aimed at a younger, style-conscious demographic, this watch offers a versatile option for those seeking a sporty yet refined accessory for everyday wear. Its design cues are distinctly modern, making it a fitting choice for various casual and smart-casual ensembles.

Technically, the watch is driven by a reliable multi-function quartz movement, ensuring precise timekeeping and the convenience of a chronograph without the need for winding. The substantial 45mm stainless steel case provides a robust presence on the wrist, complemented by a matching stainless steel link bracelet for durability and comfort. Protection is afforded by a mineral glass crystal, which is a common choice for its balance of scratch resistance and cost-effectiveness in this segment.

While the 5-metre water resistance is adequate for daily splashes, showering, or even light swimming, it's crucial to note that this watch is not designed for serious diving or prolonged underwater activities. Its deployment clasp offers a secure fit, but the overall construction, while sturdy, prioritises style over extreme ruggedness. Those seeking a true tool watch for demanding environments might find its water resistance limiting.

Ultimately, the Tommy Hilfiger 1791936 is best suited for individuals who value brand recognition and a fashionable, multi-functional timepiece for urban and casual settings. For those prioritising robust water resistance or a mechanical movement, alternatives from dedicated sports watch brands or entry-level Swiss automatics might be more appropriate, albeit at a different price point.
