Underneath its sleek exterior, the Sullivan is powered by a multi-function quartz movement, ensuring precise timekeeping and the convenience of low maintenance. The watch features a robust 44mm stainless steel case and a durable mineral glass crystal, offering good protection for the black dial. Its 50-metre water resistance means it can comfortably handle daily splashes, showering, and even recreational swimming, though it is not intended for serious diving.

While the stainless steel bracelet with its IP coating adds to the watch's sophisticated appeal and durability, some enthusiasts might prefer the tactile experience and horological depth of a mechanical movement. The absence of a screw-down crown, typical for its water resistance rating, means it's not a tool watch for extreme conditions. However, for its intended purpose, it delivers reliably.

Ultimately, the Tommy Hilfiger Sullivan 1791879 is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a fashionable and functional chronograph that doesn't compromise on style. It's ideal for those who value the ease of a quartz mechanism and a design that effortlessly transitions from casual outings to more polished settings. For those desiring a more traditional watchmaking experience, exploring entry-level automatic chronographs might be a suitable alternative.
