Description
The Amazfit Bip Max is a large-screen smartwatch built for people who want everyday wear and serious activity tracking in one device. It suits runners, cyclists and gym-goers who like a clear, bright display on the wrist.
The case is made of aluminum alloy and paired with a blue silicone strap that closes with a hook buckle. The 2.07-inch AMOLED screen is always on, GPS is backed by five satellite systems, and the watch is rated to 50 m of water resistance. It stores 4GB of data, enough for offline maps and media.
Battery life reaches up to 20 days of typical use, so nightly charging is rarely needed. More than 150 sports modes, Zepp Coach routines and a daily BioCharge score based on sleep, workouts and stress help you decide when to push and when to rest, all inside the subscription-free Zepp App.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wear the Amazfit Bip Max in the pool or shower?
The Bip Max is rated to 50 m, so showers and pool swimming are fine for daily use. It is not built for diving or high-speed water sports, so skip those. Rinse it with fresh water after chlorine or salt exposure and dry the strap to keep it comfortable.
How long will the battery last between charges?
With typical use the battery lasts up to 20 days, so you will rarely charge it nightly. Heavy GPS tracking, always-on display and frequent notifications shorten that, and a long run with navigation will drain it noticeably faster than casual wear.
Can I leave my phone at home when I run?
Yes, built-in GPS uses five satellite systems, and 4GB of onboard storage holds offline maps downloaded through the Zepp App. You get turn-by-turn directions and off-track alerts on the wrist, which makes the Bip Max useful for runs and rides without a phone.
Will a 2.07-inch screen look too big on my wrist?
The display is large for a fitness watch, though the aluminum alloy body keeps it light at about 53 grams. The square shape and 22 mm lug width suit most adult wrists, but very slim wrists may find it prominent. Try it against a regular sport watch first.
How does the Bip Max compare with a Wear OS smartwatch?
The Bip Max focuses on fitness, GPS, battery life and training metrics like VO2 Max and Training Load, with no subscription. Wear OS alternatives offer more third-party apps and payments, but usually need charging every day or two. Choose by whether endurance or apps matter more to you.
Do I need to replace the strap, and what size fits?
The Bip Max uses a 22 mm silicone strap with a hook buckle, so standard 22 mm replacements fit. Silicone is comfortable for sport and wipes clean easily. If you want a different colour or a fabric option for daily wear, any quality 22 mm strap should work.
Editor's take
Amazfit's Bip line has long been the budget-friendly entry into GPS fitness wearables, and the Bip Max pushes it toward a larger, more capable format. It is aimed at active people who want a big screen and long endurance without a subscription.
The headline is the 2.07-inch AMOLED display, which keeps data readable outdoors and stays on all day. Behind it sit GPS backed by five satellite systems and 4GB onboard storage for offline maps, so you can leave the phone at home. The aluminum alloy case keeps weight low, and the silicone strap with hook buckle is practical for sweaty sessions.
The trade-off is water resistance. At 50 m, the Bip Max handles showers and pool swimming, but it is not a dive instrument, and open-water or surf use calls for a watch with a higher rating. A screen this size also looks bulky on smaller wrists.
It suits runners, cyclists and gym users who care about training metrics like VO2 Max and Training Load more than app ecosystems. Buyers wanting third-party apps and payments should look at Wear OS or Apple Watch alternatives instead.

Bip Max in Comparison to Other Amazfit Smartwatches
Bip Max
Aluminum Case, Light On Wrist
The A2568 uses an aluminum case, which keeps weight low on a large display watch meant for all-day wear. Paired with a silicone strap, it sits comfortably through long days and overnight sleep tracking without feeling bulky.
Silicone Strap For Daily Use
The silicone strap resists sweat and daily wear, and it wipes clean after workouts or a swim. It is a practical choice for a watch that is worn continuously, where a leather or metal bracelet would show its age sooner.
Rated To 50 Meters
A 50m water resistance rating covers handwashing, rain, showers and pool swimming. Treat it as a swim-ready rating rather than a diving spec, and rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt or chlorine.
A Smart Watch Built For Tracking
The Bip Max is a quartz-free smart watch, so there is no mechanical movement to wind or regulate. Time is kept digitally and synced to your phone, with fitness and health tracking handled by onboard sensors.
