Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 suitable for daily swimming and showering?
The Invicta Pro Diver 35726 offers 200 metres of water resistance, making it suitable for daily swimming, snorkelling, and surface water sports. While it can withstand showering, it's generally recommended to avoid exposing any watch to hot water and soap to preserve its seals over time.
How does the NH35A movement in this Invicta Pro Diver compare to other automatic movements in its price range?
The NH35A Japanese Automatic movement in the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 is a highly regarded workhorse calibre known for its reliability and affordability. It offers a solid performance comparable to many entry-level Swiss movements, often surpassing them in terms of cost-effectiveness and widespread availability of parts for service.
What kind of maintenance does the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 require?
As an automatic watch, the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 does not require battery changes. Regular maintenance typically involves a service every 3-5 years to ensure the movement is lubricated and seals are intact, especially if frequently exposed to water. Keeping it clean from salt and chlorine after water activities is also recommended.
Is the 47mm case size of the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 suitable for all wrist sizes?
The 47mm case of the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 is quite substantial and designed for individuals who prefer a larger, more prominent watch. It generally fits wrist sizes from 7 inches (18 cm) and up comfortably. For smaller wrists, it might feel oversized, so checking wrist measurements is advised.
Can the stainless steel band of the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 be adjusted?
Yes, the stainless steel band of the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 is adjustable. It features a link-based design, allowing for links to be added or removed to achieve a perfect fit. This adjustment typically requires a watch tool or a visit to a jeweller.
Editor's take
The Invicta Pro Diver 35726 positions itself as an accessible yet visually impactful dive watch for enthusiasts seeking a bold statement. With its prominent 47mm case and gold-tone accents, it caters to those who prefer a watch with significant wrist presence. This model draws inspiration from classic dive watch aesthetics, offering a familiar and appealing design.
Underneath its striking exterior, the Pro Diver 35726 is powered by the reliable Seiko NH35A automatic movement. This 24-jewel Japanese calibre is a workhorse, known for its robust construction and ease of service, providing a solid foundation for daily wear. The watch also features a uni-directional stainless steel bezel with a blue top ring, essential for tracking dive times, and a durable mineral crystal protecting the dial.
One aspect to consider is the watch's substantial 47mm case size, which might be overwhelming for smaller wrists. While its 200-metre water resistance is suitable for most recreational diving and water sports, the absence of an ISO 6425 certification means it's not officially rated for professional saturation diving, a detail some serious divers might note. The mineral crystal, while robust, is also more prone to scratches than sapphire.
Ultimately, the Invicta Pro Diver 35726 is an excellent choice for individuals who desire a large, eye-catching automatic dive watch without a premium price tag. It's ideal for casual wear, surface water sports, and recreational diving. For those prioritising a more compact size or professional dive certification, alternatives from brands like Seiko or Citizen might be worth exploring.
