Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Racing 69703 suitable for daily wear and sports activities?
The Invicta Racing 69703 is designed for daily casual wear due to its comfortable silicone strap and clear digital display. However, it is explicitly stated as 'Not Water Resistant', meaning it should not be exposed to water during sports or any other activity.
Can I swim or shower with this Invicta Racing watch?
No, the Invicta Racing 69703 is clearly marked as 'Not Water Resistant'. This means it is not suitable for swimming, showering, or any water-related activities. Exposure to water could damage the watch's internal components.
What type of movement does the Invicta Racing 69703 use, and how often does its battery need changing?
This Invicta Racing model is powered by a reliable quartz movement, which ensures accurate timekeeping. As a battery-powered watch, its battery will eventually need replacement. The typical lifespan for a quartz watch battery is usually between two to five years, depending on usage.
What makes the Invicta Racing 69703 different from other digital watches in its price range?
The Invicta Racing 69703 stands out with its bold 43.5mm acrylic case and modern silver digital dial, offering a distinctive aesthetic. Whilst many digital watches focus on advanced features, this model prioritises a clear display and a unique, sporty design for casual use, though it lacks water resistance.
Is the acrylic glass on this watch durable and scratch-resistant?
The Invicta Racing 69703 features an acrylic glass, which is known for its impact resistance, making it less prone to shattering than other materials. It is also described as scratch-resistant, helping to maintain clarity over time, though care should still be taken to avoid abrasive surfaces.
Editor's take
The Invicta Racing 69703 positions itself as a bold and modern digital timepiece, designed for men who appreciate a distinctive aesthetic in their casual accessories. Its large 43.5mm acrylic case and silver digital dial create a strong visual presence, making it a statement piece rather than a subtle complement. This model caters to those who prioritise contemporary style and clear digital readability.
Powering this watch is a reliable quartz movement, offering precise timekeeping without the need for manual winding, a practical choice for daily wear. The use of acrylic glass for the crystal, whilst durable against impacts, is also scratch-resistant, ensuring the digital display remains clear. The silicone strap, secured with a traditional buckle, provides comfort and a secure fit for active lifestyles.
However, a significant consideration for the Invicta Racing 69703 is its explicit "Not Water Resistant" rating. Despite its sporty "Racing" designation and robust appearance, this watch is not suitable for swimming, showering, or even heavy rain, which is a notable limitation for a modern sport-themed watch. This means its utility is strictly confined to dry environments.
Ultimately, the Invicta Racing 69703 is best suited for individuals seeking a visually striking, easy-to-read digital watch for casual, dry-weather use. If water resistance is a priority for your daily activities or if you prefer a more traditional analogue display, exploring other Invicta collections or alternative brands with higher WR ratings would be advisable.
