Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Racing 48718 suitable for swimming or showering?
The Invicta Racing 48718 has a water resistance of 30 metres, which means it is suitable for daily use and incidental contact with water like hand washing or light rain. However, it is not designed for swimming, showering, or submersion.
What type of movement powers the Invicta Racing 48718?
This Invicta sport watch is powered by a reliable Japanese quartz VH61 movement. This ensures accurate timekeeping and requires minimal maintenance, primarily just a battery replacement when needed.
What kind of battery does the Invicta Racing 48718 use?
The Invicta Racing 48718 comes with an SR920SW battery included. This is a common type of watch battery, and replacements are generally easy to find when the original battery eventually runs out.
Is the 48.5mm case size of this watch suitable for all wrist sizes?
With its substantial 48.5mm case diameter, the Invicta Racing 48718 is designed to make a bold statement. It is generally best suited for men with medium to larger wrist sizes, typically 7 inches (18 cm) and above, to ensure a comfortable and proportionate fit.
How does the Invicta Racing 48718 compare to other sport watches in its category?
The Invicta Racing 48718 stands out with its unique square plastic case and vibrant multicolour dial, offering a distinct aesthetic. Are the hands and markers on the dial luminous for low-light visibility?

Editor's take
The Invicta Racing 48718 offers a distinctive and assertive sport watch experience for men who appreciate a bold wrist presence. With its unique square case and vibrant multicolour dial, this timepiece appeals to a casual audience seeking a watch that combines a playful aesthetic with straightforward functionality. It is designed to make a statement in everyday settings, providing a visually engaging accessory.
Powering the Racing 48718 is a reliable Japanese quartz VH61 movement, ensuring precise timekeeping without the need for manual winding. The watch features a robust 48.5mm plastic case that contributes to its lightweight feel, making it comfortable for extended wear. A durable mineral crystal protects the multicolour dial, while the orange silicone strap offers a secure and comfortable fit, fastened by a simple buckle. The included SR920SW battery provides long-lasting power.
A key consideration for this model is its 30 metres water resistance. While adequate for splashes and light rain, this rating means the watch is not suitable for swimming or diving, which might be a limitation for some sport watch enthusiasts. The plastic case, though lightweight, may not offer the same premium feel or scratch resistance as stainless steel alternatives, and its substantial size might overwhelm smaller wrists.
This Invicta Racing model is ideal for individuals seeking a large, visually striking sport watch with a dependable quartz engine and a unique design. For those prioritising more robust water capabilities or a traditional metal construction, exploring models with higher water resistance ratings or stainless steel cases might be a more fitting alternative in a similar price bracket.
