Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Invicta Wildflower 48918 suitable for daily wear and water activities?
The Invicta Wildflower 48918 is designed for daily wear, offering a stylish and reliable timepiece. However, its "Water Resistant" rating without a specified depth means it's best for splashes and light rain, not swimming or showering. For more rigorous water sports, a dedicated dive watch would be a better alternative.
What kind of movement does the Invicta Wildflower 48918 use, and how accurate is it?
The Invicta Wildflower 48918 is powered by a precise quartz movement. Quartz watches are known for their high accuracy, typically losing or gaining only a few seconds per month, making them very reliable for everyday timekeeping compared to mechanical alternatives.
How does the Flame Fusion crystal on this watch compare to sapphire or mineral glass?
The Invicta Wildflower 48918 features a Flame Fusion crystal, which is Invicta's proprietary hardened mineral glass. It offers better scratch resistance than standard mineral glass and good shatter resistance, providing a durable protective layer for the silver dial. While not as scratch-resistant as sapphire, it's a robust choice for a daily watch.
Who is the Invicta Wildflower 48918 watch most suitable for?
This Invicta Wildflower watch is most suitable for women who appreciate a classic, elegant design and reliable timekeeping without the need for complex features. Its 32mm case size and stainless steel construction make it a versatile accessory for various occasions, from casual outings to more formal events.
Can the stainless steel bracelet of the Invicta Wildflower 48918 be adjusted for different wrist sizes?
Yes, the stainless steel bracelet of the Invicta Wildflower 48918 can typically be adjusted to fit various wrist sizes. This usually involves removing links by a professional watchmaker or using a link removal tool. This ensures a comfortable and secure fit for the wearer.
Editor's take
The Invicta Wildflower 48918 presents itself as an accessible and stylish option for women seeking a reliable timepiece with a touch of classic elegance. Positioned within Invicta's diverse catalogue, this model caters to those who appreciate a straightforward, fashion-conscious design without the complexities of mechanical movements. Its 32mm stainless steel case offers a comfortable and proportionate fit for most feminine wrists, making it an ideal daily companion.
Powering this Wildflower model is a dependable quartz movement, known for its accuracy and minimal maintenance requirements, a practical choice for everyday wear. The watch features a robust Flame Fusion crystal, Invicta's proprietary hardened mineral crystal, which provides a good balance of scratch resistance and shatter protection. The elegant silver dial is complemented by a matching stainless steel bracelet, secured with a foldover clasp with push button for ease of use and security.
While the Wildflower 48918 excels in style and practicality, its "Water Resistant" rating, without a specified depth in metres, suggests it is best suited for light splashes rather than swimming or showering. Those requiring a watch for more rigorous water activities would need to consider models with a higher, specified water resistance. Furthermore, the absence of additional complications keeps the dial clean but limits functionality beyond basic timekeeping.
Ultimately, the Invicta Wildflower 48918 is a solid recommendation for women desiring a chic, low-maintenance watch for daily wear or casual outings. Its attractive design and reliable quartz accuracy make it a strong contender in the affordable fashion watch segment. For those prioritising robust water resistance or advanced features, exploring Invicta's Pro Diver collection or other brands might be a more suitable alternative.
