Description
The Amazfit Active 2 Premium is a round smartwatch for people who want fitness tracking without giving up a classic look. It combines a stainless steel build with a leather strap, and a free silicone sport band is included for workouts.
The watch has a bright 1.32-inch AMOLED display covered by sapphire glass, and it is rated to 50 m water resistance. Five satellite positioning systems support GPS tracking, and a barometer is on board. The BioTracker sensor handles heart rate and sleep tracking, and the strap closes with a buckle.
Over 160 sports modes cover running, cycling, swimming, padel, yoga and HYROX Race, and free downloadable maps offer turn-by-turn guidance. Battery life reaches up to 10 days with typical use, so daily wear rarely means nightly charging. Zepp Flow adds voice control and speech-to-text replies to Android messages.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wear the Amazfit Active 2 Premium swimming?
Yes for pool swimming and showers, since it is rated to 50 m water resistance. It is not meant for deep diving or high-pressure water. For laps, switch to the included silicone sport band, because leather does not cope well with chlorine and repeated soaking.
Is it tough enough for daily sport?
The sapphire glass resists scratches well, and the stainless steel build handles everyday knocks. With more than 160 sports modes, including running, cycling, padel and strength training, the Amazfit Active 2 Premium covers most daily workouts without special care.
How long does the battery last between charges?
The manufacturer quotes up to 10 days with typical use. GPS tracking, a bright always-on display and frequent workouts will shorten that, so heavy users should expect to charge more often. Battery service is best left to a qualified technician.
Will it fit my wrist?
The strap uses 20 mm lugs and a buckle, so you can fit most wrist sizes by choosing the right hole. The round case sits like a classic watch rather than a bulky tracker. Any standard 20 mm strap also fits if you want a different look.
How does the Premium version compare with the Sport version?
The Premium adds sapphire glass, a leather strap and a free extra silicone band. The Sport version uses a silicone strap in black or red. Choose Premium for a dressier look and better scratch resistance, Sport if you only train.
Does it work with an Android or iPhone for messages?
It pairs through the free Zepp app, and Zepp Flow lets you reply to Android messages using speech-to-text or keyboard input. The watch also shows notifications and supports voice control, so it suits daily phone use as an alternative to a basic fitness band.
Editor's take
Amazfit built the Active 2 Premium for people who want a fitness-first smartwatch that does not look like a gym gadget. The round case, stainless steel build and leather strap give it a dressier profile than most trackers, and the Premium variant includes a free silicone sport band for training days.
The hardware that matters here is the 1.32-inch AMOLED display under sapphire glass, which resists scratches far better than mineral. The BioTracker sensor handles heart rate and sleep, and five satellite systems feed the GPS, with a barometer adding altitude data for hiking and skiing. Claimed battery life is up to 10 days with typical use.
The limit is water: 50 m water resistance suits swimming and showers, but it is not a dive rating, even though the listing lists diving among its sports. A leather strap also sits poorly with sweaty workouts and pool sessions, so the included silicone band will do most of the real work.
This watch suits someone who wants one device for office, gym and trails without paying for a rugged outdoor model. Buyers who need serious dive or multi-day expedition features should look at dedicated sports watches in the same price tier.

From the manufacturer
44mm Aluminum Alloy Case
The 44.0mm case is machined from aluminum alloy, which keeps weight low for a watch of this diameter. It sits flat on the wrist and suits all-day wear, from desk work to long walks. The proportions read as a modern sport watch rather than a dress piece.
Sapphire Crystal Over the Display
A sapphire crystal covers the display, rating 9 on the Mohs scale and resisting the fine scratches that cloud mineral glass over time. That matters on a watch worn daily against desks, door frames and bag zippers. The screen stays legible in direct sun and at an angle.
Leather Strap, Black Finish
The black leather strap gives the Active 2 a more traditional look than the silicone bands common on smart watches. Leather softens with wear and suits both casual and business clothing. Keep it dry during workouts, since sweat and water age leather faster than rubber.
Rated to 50 Meters
Water resistance is rated to 50 meters, which covers handwashing, rain and shallow swims in a pool. It is not intended for diving or high-speed water sports. Rinse the case after salt water exposure and remove the leather strap before swimming.
Built for Daily Tracking
As a smart watch, the Active 2 records activity, heart rate and sleep from the wrist, then syncs the data to your phone. The sensors are most reliable when the case sits snugly just behind the wrist bone. Notifications arrive on the display without reaching for your phone.
Reference A2437-L-Black
Reference A2437-L-Black pairs the 44.0mm aluminum alloy case and sapphire crystal with a black leather strap. It is a practical choice for someone who wants smart watch functions without giving up a conventional watch appearance. The 50m rating covers everyday exposure to water.
